Replacing your A/C ventilator:difficulty rating : .5 stars out of 10

1) pop off door panel

2)Locate the a/c tunnel which leads to the vent.

3)unscrew all screws, and simply just pull out

4)pop out old ventilator by using a flathead on the one of two metal holders to help squeeze and push through (try not to crack the plastic!)

5)Slide new vent in, and push everything back in place

6)Mount screws back and pop door panel on.

sit back and enjoy the sight of something you have accomplished which isn't even noticeable.

The support holding the louvers in place broke, so they couldn't all be fixed to the same direction. They were pretty much just flapping around everywhere and they could not stay open.

I went to the Nissan dealership at the service/parts desk, I explained which part I needed, he flipped the monitor over to make sure that was the right part. (since I didn't know the part number or exact name. )

Usually the part won't be in stock because not many people order a/c vents for Z's lol

You can also check out courtesy parts, good oem stuff. Ebay sometimes works too.

By looking at the assy picture you can tell which part and number it is that you need, erhm I can't seem to find the side vent though on the site. You just might have to drop in to your local Nissan or give Nissan of Texas a call.

Ventilator, vent, driver side door a/c louvers, etc.

When you get it don't forget to post pics of your adventure. I kinda rushed this writeup.

Good luck, the air should feel a lot more direct once its in. And that equals happy driver
