Well to start off I know I'm new to the forum and this probably isnt the best first post to make but I am in need of some guidence.
I was looking into purchasing a 1998 r33 gtr shell missing only the engine that includes
-copy of import documents/export release forms
-vehicle transfer/reassignment forms
-bill of sale
Currently its not registered but I heard somewhere that the 1996-1998 r33's could be made state legal because of crash testing done on them.
I am by no means trying to have a 50 state legal skyline but I live in TN and would like to be able to register it for use here.
I know that the whole way to legalize these cars is a well kept secret but i was curious if with the documents I have could it be taken to the clerks office where i live and get it registered.
There's not emmisions testing where i live nor do they even inspect the car prior to approving it so i figured maybe I had something here.

Any help is links would be appreciated because ive been combing through google for a few weeks without any clear answers to my problem

There is no way to legalize it, period. State "legal" means illegal. These are federal laws in your way, do not pass go, do not collect Skyline or pass go, pay money and have government collect your Skyline.

You are probably going to do it anyway, but just realize you are breaking the law. Not a little, not kinda, not according to certain points of view, 100% breaking it. You may go for a month or two, you may go for years, but you will always, ALWAYS be one curious government official away from getting the shell and any money and time you have sunk into it crushed. No ifs and or buts.

This car was once the property of a guy who thought he was clever.

Yes, please. Pick them up and hold on to them. Are the filters decent looking or are they pretty clean?
Once I get this ARC intercooler sold, I'll shoot you the ichi-man for the filters and shipping.
