I know guys, I said I would update you with pics a loooooooooooonnnnnnnngggggg time ago, well, here you go. I had my dad drop of my Pathy at the body shop last week, and install my JDM R50 spoiler. here are some pics from his camera phone. I'm going to have him take some better ones from the side, are rear 1/4 shot when the sun comes out again.

don't worry, it will all come together with my new wheels and suspension. but I'm not going for the rugged trail look anymore with it.

I'm very skeptical about this idea... it looks like it's a cliché ricer mod. On an SUV.

I'll wait for your "final" pics, though.

it probably gives some downforce once your going faster, makes rear end stick more to ground. Might actualy be helpful.

to each his own, but if you like it. great, and yea, if you dont trail it anymore and want a more "street' look, then thats a way to do it i guess.

that, and I've got a set of 20" TE37's (Rota Grid offroad in bronze to be exact) and am going to lower it. add a big brake kit up front, and possibly turbo it. I saw one out here in Tokyo all done up "street style" and it was pretty sick. plus, I don't think anyone has gone completely nuts on a Pathfinder yet? Plus I get to try out my new skills with my tig welder!

This will mostly all happen after I get back from Japan (next Oct), but I already have the brakes (some of you already know that much) and the wheels. I guess I'll have to sell the wheel/tire combo thats on there now.

lucky ur all the way out in washington...5000k away from me

p.s. don't call fake TE37's as TE37's...because ROTAs are terrible rims compared to Volks...they aren't in the same league

and Empty V calls ME the resident ricer.... i didnt even consider a wing for my Pathy.... to me it looks kinda funny but again it makes your truck unique in its own way.

I figured I'd get some flamage.. but I've seen them in person here in Japan, they look good here, but then again I could be suffering from dilusions from being here for so long?

Anyways, I know the Rota Grids arn't real TE37's and I almost pulled the trigger a couple times on real ones, but the real ones only come in 18" and I just don't think thats big enough for the look I'm going for. but the funny thing is, Rota did an outstanding job copying the TE37, and blowing it up with a 20" option IMO. Believe me, I know about wheels pretty well, and know about the history of rota and their wheels bending/cracking. that was when they first came out. there products are not on par to Rays by no means, but some of their wheels are made in the same factory as some of todays popular tuner wheels.

So, like I said, I'll post some better pics when my dad sends them to me. its going to look goofy now because of the wheel/tire combo I have now, and the brush guard. but for now I can see past it.besides, when its all done with the suspension mods, and big front mount intercooler peeking through the bumper, it should all come together.

I will be, I just have all these other projects to get done first. I could go ahead and do the wheels, and suspension within the next couple weeks, but I hate paying for labor, and since the car is with my parents in Kansas, I'd have to take the hit on labor for installing the suspension.....not really my style. but...its something I wouldn't have to worry about, thats for sure. So yeah, the lexus is almost done, then I finish up my Impreza rally car...or Impreza for my wife (if she decides she wants it) and then I can start on the Pathy.....again! I really just can't wait to make my own exhaust system for it. I've been learning from my friend out here who not only was a chief engineer at Nismo, but all sorts of various companies..basically, I'm learning the whole pie slice welding and how to make my own mufflers. I still have no plans on how i'll exactly turbo the truck yet, but I'm workin on it.

reminds me of a song I once heard..." I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so..."

any way, as many have said, to each their own. But that is the good thing about car personalization; everyone will do it differently. I don't think the wing is all that bad, but I don't think it would be one of my first mods.

In Japan, this might help your PF blend in, however, here in the states, it will help it stick out. Two very different styles, but that is what makes the car scene interesting.

Good luck with the wing project and let us know how the final version ends up. :mike

I wish there was a tasteful wing other than the oem piece of crap.

But nothing ricey looking

I was thinking of just wrapping the oem spoiler in carbon

Pic from the side might help

Angle looks to be pretty extreme when from the side I think it may flow

From the rear looking up sure does look like an airplane though

Alex - no bs, I'd be happy to post up pics and dyno results once the Lex is complete. I didnt ship it to Japan for nothing, and do alittle research too on my screen name here, I think I've posted a couple pics of my turbo which cost right at $27,000 and the $130,000 worth of Formula 1 and WRC brakes sitting on my living room floor.

AZ- Thanks man, I know I've talked to you a number of times before about importing a GT-R since I'm still stuck in Tokyo for another year...boo hoo right! I'll get some pics up of the Pathy soon, I havn't made any concrete decisions on it yet since it sits in a garage 7000 miles away.

i've seen those brake pics. i PM'd you about which model number calipers you have, and you couldn't give me ANY info. the least you could've done is pointed me to the actual owner of those brakes, so that i could contact them.

I just saw that you did ask about that quite a while back. I'll check with my sources at Penske which ones they were. but due to the nature of the level of product that they are, there might not be any info to the public on them. Actually if you google search the turbos I have ( IHI RXH6) you shouldn't find any info on them either since they were never suppose to be sold to the public, and actually are suppose to be destroyed after the race teams are done. so you'll find some info with my screen name, and my business partners name out there on the web, but I don't even think we've found a compressor map yet. Call it a turbo from the C.I.A. if you will.

anyways, hit me up on [email protected] and I'll get you all the info I can on the brakes I have.
