Hey whats up im new to nico. I bought my s14 about a year ago plus some. It was a completly stock zenki with no mods but not too clean. It got into a front end accident and i decided to go with a s15 front. So far only mods are s15 front and oem s15 steering wheel. S13 sr20det being dropped in tomorrow. Still needs a front bumper but i thought i should do my engine and get everything running strong first. I'm 16 and this is my first car so im trying to do everything right the first time so i dont run into problems later. Here's some pics!

Just finished putting on my new hks hi power exhaust that i got from a friend for 150 and i gotta say it sounds greattt. Shop was full today so i couldnt drop off my car for the swap to begin but hopefully tomorrow. I'm sooo ready for an sr. The sound of a turbo spooling and a nice bov would match with this exhaust so nicely! would get pics of the exhaust but its dark already. I've been running open downpipe for a month or so now because we took the exhaust off once and somehow lost it? :gotme It was sooo loud and now with the hks it runs so much better. Also running with a megan test pipe.

Do what I did ... trade! I actually had a person with a Kouki who wanted the Zenki tails and me visa-versa. Worked perfectly ... was a member here, but I don't remember who.

You got a lucky find.. Might be a little rare to find someone wanting to trade kouki for zenki.

Swap postponed to start until thursday.

Dropped the car off thursday morning and i went to the shop this afternoon. Ka was out and sr was ready to go in. Found out the tps was broken so im going to have to order that. another thing is i'm in need of an air intake for my turbo. I'm just looking for something cheap but reliable right now. Just the pipe and filter. I'm just going to run the sr maf for now. anyone know where i could find an intake kit that comes with the pipe, filter, hoses, clamps?

Its in!! :woot:
Not running yet though :frown: ....
Still gotta put ic piping and intercooler, intake, fuel lines, connect turbo line, wire up starter, throttle cables, and wire up this freakin harness to my s14.... can anybody shed some light on converting the s13 harness to s14? i know wiring specialties makes brand new ones but really right now i just want to try and make this harness work instead of pulling out $300.

Also got rid of ac, power steering and cruise control because i decided i didnt want to go through the extra work of fitment and stuff and dont really want em anyways.

Well i found a cheap s15 bumper from aishagarage for 250 shipped so i took up that offer. thumbs up for them with the great price, fast and easy shipping, and great service! arrived in 3 days via greyhound. packaged very well and it looks great! :bigthumb: :bigthumb: Mocked it up to see what it looks like. Couple decent gaps around fenders and headlights but thats due to my crappy fiberglass conversion fenders...... anyways pics!

I just ordered a brand new s13 to s14 engine harness from wiring specialties last night since i felt it was a better decision to get that instead of converting the harness. Also ordered my heater hoses from frsport yesterday. Still gotta figure out ic piping and intake. Then ill be ready to fire it up! :woot:

Got in heater hoses and connected the coolant line for turbo behind the block. Those things are a real PITA to do with the engine in due to the little bit of clearance...But got em. Also spent half the day prying out my battery tray and cutting out a hole for my cold side ic piping to find out my pipes arent going to reach. So im going to have to try and find something for my cold side piping. Awaiting my harness from wsp and it should be here tuesdayish. all i need after that is my piping and intake. But once my harness gets here im thinking im going to hook it all up and fire it up without ic or intake just because im anxious! And also to make sure of no knocks or anything. Boy am i excited!

^thanks! i want to wait until its all done so i can put it on and look fresh. Until then the bumper is sitting in my room taking up a butt load of space.

As far as starting it without the ic piping i heard its okay to start it and some people even drive it at low rpms without piping. Im not driving it anywhere but i just want to make sure it cranks and starts with no issues, and theres nothing wrong with the engine since its a new swap and ive never seen or heard it run.

Heres a couple pics! I decided to put my bumper and keep it on for the hell of it.

Okay so i got my ic piping done. Got my engine harness wired up. Waiting on ignitor chip tomorrow. Then ill just need one line for my ic piping. But now i've run into a problem that has totally slipped my mind the whole time, My lower harness. I thought about it today and found out the shop just shoved the clips for the trans harness behind the engine. I got them out and tried putting them on and found out s13 trans plugs dont fit into the s14 chassis  What a surprise. So what i was thinking about doing is the guy i sold my ka to needs an s13 trans harness and i need an s14 one. Would we be able to just switch s14 ka harness to s13 sr and s13 sr harness into s14 ka? I've been researching and i havent found a straight forward answer but i think i can for the ka harness on my sr. Just dont know about the sr harness on the ka. He's putting the ka into his s13 btw.
