Please pardon this repost of my question to moonroof-gasket-seal-weatherstripping-w ... 60015.html I could not tell if it appeared as new under that very old thread, so I'm reposting my inquiry as a new topic.

Does anyone have a link where I can buy the fiberglass trim piece (and the rubber weatherstrip just underneath it) that goes around the sunroof on my 95 Maxima without replacing the whole glass lid? The fiberglass is cracked and broken from age and the rubber weatherstrip beneath it has come loose. It looks pretty straightforward to replace if I can find the part, but my local dealer says it's not available separately in the Nissan catalog. Everything else still works at 18 years and 223K miles (with good maintenance, one paint job, and a few repairs, but nothing major). Thanks, Svenfran

Yes. Not available as a separate part from them, but thanks for the tip.

Problem solved (albeit for $528).

Just to update, I ended up purchasing a new glass (lid) for the sunroof on my 95 Maxima. The online parts sources said they could no longer get it, but my local Nissan dealer came through with the Nissan factory part at $528. If anyone needs one of these, I'd advise buying it now, before any national supply is exhausted on parts for these old cars.

The weathertrip and trim is integral on the unit and was not available separately. Replacing the lid was a piece of cake and did not involve removing the headliner or other parts. An easily removable plastic trim piece on either side of the glass exposed the 6mm (10mm hex) mounting studs and nuts, so it was simply a matter of remove the nuts, lift the window out, then drop the new one in. Took less than an hour. There's one plastic insert mounting screw at the back of each plastic trim piece and a couple of plastic tabs that hold it in place, but it's all easy to get to. Thanks to everyone for the help.
