So I have seen a few dead links on here of people saying they found the Megan Axle back exhaust for around $250 shipped (the quad tip set up of coruse). I found stainless for around $290 shipped on a few websites but was more interested in the burnt tip look. I have only seen the burnt tip set up for around $400. Does anyone know any private vendors or websites that have the burnt tip set up for a reasonable price?

Right, I am mostly going for aesthetics but if I can any type of power increase then great. I have the injen cold air installed and figured this would sounds pretty nice as well. Going from a GS300 that had a million different options I feel like I am running out of ideas...

Well here is the stainless steel set up for $290 shipped

http://www.shutokoengineering.com/Megan ... e-im05.htm

They probably have coupons to get it even less than that but I did not search. Unfortunately they do not have the burnt tips. I am a pretty good online shopper but have not found anything else yet... Any other leads?

That looks to be the old pricing but you should jump on it if you can get it as Megan only has 7 kits left.

I saw used ones go for $250

Let us know if it works :gotme

I saw a little embedded flash in the top R corner that said 'TRUST' so i googled and came up with this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Greddy-Trust-El ... 1312wt_995

This item was for a Suburu, but I suppose they are available for infinit models as well.

I am not sure what you mean by Megan only has 6 left? Have they stopped manufacturing these?

They sell out very quickly and go on backorder often. They actually just came off of backorder about a month back so you can gauge how quickly they sell out. If you want the blue tipped ones then wait, otherwise buy the stainless steel ones now.

I'll be getting a set of the burnt tips in a few days...

I previously posted a contact for the Megan exhausts and other Megan products....

His shop is located next to Megan corp and that's who I went through when I originally picked up the axle backs and mid pipes... Now gonna get the burnt tip style!!!!

PM me if you want the contact info... He gets the goods before they are back ordered as well as when new shipments arrive!! His pricing is good, too

Okay, the research is over! Final decision you say? Blue Burnt Roll Tips, price? $403 shipped to Rhode Island. I was quoted over the phone $475-$500 from just about everyone. Sonic Motor over the phone was around $500 but the guy said order online and its less. So that's what I did! Pics coming soon...

It sure is! I put Megan and Sonic through hell calling them both back and forth making sure my set was reserved. As of right now they have one burnt tip and two stainless left in stock, when will they get more? No one knows...

Nice, can't wait to see pics of it. Still need to take some sound clips of my car but it sounds absolutely sick.

This is where I got mine from, cheapest price I saw. It's only a single guy working there but he's was great to deal with http://www.statikperformance.com/catalo ... _info.html

Aahhhhh!!!! Here's a teaser, but I highly suggest picking up a set of the Megan's with burnt tips!!!!! I'm getting them installed right now, but here's a few pix after picking them up from Megan... Triple boxed, packaged really well, gaskets and bolts included.... The tips have the Megan name within the blue!!!! Clean!

Wow those look fantastic! I had talked to guy at Megan on Friday and was asking him why such a dramatic price difference in the stainless versus burnt tip exhausts. He explained that not only did they have burnt tips but the ends are also rolled (instead of jutting directly outward). Lets see some straight on shots!

I say cut out the mufflers and get whatever tips you want... get a shop to weld them in... and it sounds good with supporting mods...

The beginning of the vid you can skip...

You cant get the titanium burnt tips cheap from many places... 50 bucks to weld them... etc..

Thus the reason of keeping mufflers, it helps with the sound. :slap:

Would the megan be to loud if I only got the axle back mufflers? From what I found it seems when going with a full cat back including mid pipe and custom Y it opens up the exhaust tone alot. I love the look but want my car to be somewhat quiet? I can handle a slight tone but not in the mood for everyone to hear me coming from a mile away lol

I'd like to upgrade my exhaust but still keeping it street legal, what are my options?
