will this work with all the rb motors? specifically the 25? You know any way to get the speedo to work in s13 rb25? Also what year did your cluster come out of?

yeah guy i have it in my car right now the back lines up with the 240sx cluster all i did was remove 3 screw's remoe the old tach put the j30 tach in and put the 3 screw back in ... plug everything back into the dash harness and i was done everything works great .

im assuming it will work with a rb25 since they are both 6 cylinder and the tach comes from a v6 i dont think it matter's what year it comes from they are all v6 and if you look at the cluster they are all kinda shaped like the 240sx cluster

Yes, it should work for the 25. Also, to fix your speedo (Yours is reading half value right?) If youre using an RB20 trans install a DOHC KA speed sensor... if youre using the RB25 trans use the 300zx N/a speed sensor, all fixed. (For mine i had to take the collar out of the sensor's plug and swap it with the collar insert from the stock plug... and itll work dead on. used a GPS AND Radar to test my speedo. Oh, and use the search function man im tired of typing all this out haha (Dont use the crappy google search at the top right use the flashing Search banner at the top middle.)

I used the really nice skyline r33 clock that came with my front clip. Nice digital flat black. Installed it on the center of the dash. Maybe on ebay someone is selling one?

yeah i have a r33 gauge cluster.. $50 if anyone wants it. but are you sure the tach reads right because if its wires and a distributor instead of coil packs it still wont read right.

I think it just a pulse signal to the tachometer and ecu. People are still using their stock gauges with sr20det's and they use coils versus the KA's distributor cap with CAS in it. Same type the vg's J30 uses, I think. So as long as the amount of pistons match up it should work...

Dang that looks like tits, I would totally do this if I had the S13 cluster. I just dont want to mess with my 180sx kouki type-x cluster because it look beautiful . But some times it pisses me off, because it seems like its accurate, and some times its not. But I cant verify it, because my timing light went retarded when I hooked it up to the wire by ignitor.

But your J30 tach looks great

Hell im still using my stock tach with my RB25 and its dead on =D Just turn the adjusting pot all the way clockwise then fine tune it. Idle is right at FSM specs and the rev limiter tachs right when it should. Win.

I can tell you, I did the same thing but its not accurate. Certainly not as accurate as using a J30 tach or anything like that.

J30 Cluster. R33 cluster and rpm gauge need mods to fit. J30 does not!
