So, ya I'm now convinced I have an injector or two that has gone bad. I basically feel if I'm going to do the work I might as well up grade. So I'm thinking about getting 650cc to 750cc injectors with a goal of getting up to 600 hp someday. In my past I've only really ever used RC Injector Clinic, but from what I hear they're a little out of date. I've been looking at Fuel Injector Clinic with a 750 cc injector set for $450. So, here it is I'm looking for opinions on injectors especially if you can educate me on why those injectors are preferred.

Also I'm probably going to go with the new Adapronic when it comes out, but I'm also open to Power FC. My previous car (a FD3) had a Power FC which didn't seem to be all the effective. When I switched to the Adaptronic it ran much better. So I'm also interested on opinions on those two. I know the Haltech Platinum is also a favorite in this community. It seems every car seems to be better suited to ECU's that just don't work in other cars. ei the Supras love AEM EMS V2, but it seems the Skylines don't.

I just installed 1100cc injectors from Fuel Injector Clinic, e85 compatible, on my R32 GTR. Looking at making a safe 450whp and not a bit more. Bought the Haltech as well and we're going to be road tuning tomorrow and dynoing in the next couple of weeks hopefully.

Will let you know how it goes :)

Why such big injectors if you're only going for 450?

We've just installed new 1000cc Bosch injectors and a billet rail on my new motor. It'll be paired with a ProEFI 128 ECU once installed. Aim is only about 450-500whp but wanted the extra headroom on the injectors. It'll be a while before I can report results since we still have to bolt the new turbos on, hook up the hoses to the new intake manifold, connect the new ECU and sensors, offer up a yearling goat to appease the gods, etc. etc.

Happy to report that my R32 is back to life after last night's road tune session. The 1120CC injectors were obviously not part of the Haltech base map so we had to adjust for fuel and create a whole new map. From there we built maps and kept optimizing and finally hit the road at around 11pm for a road tune session.

Car is running great but still maybe 75% there. Lots more to tune and play with...especially since we're still running on stock boost.

For the same reasons stated above...the reason for a bit of overkill on these injectors is for the extra headroom

I'm still not done but here is where I'm at with my 1000cc and HKS F-CON tune ruining California terrible 91 fuel.
I hope to get her done next weekend and next would be a E85 tune.

HKS GT2540 with HKS Cams and some other thing's, but right now I need more spark, I'm upgrading the ignition so I can ruing high boost all the way to the top. That's why I stop at 7300 RPM as well. wish me luck I should have everything I need by next week. :ohno:

Are you running the stock ignition harness + coils? While we were bolting everything together last week and getting ready for Rd.1 of the road tune, we ran into a pretty severe problem: my ignition coil harness was so brittle that the hookups were falling apart (some did). We had to manually pull the receivers and insert them into the 3 prongs from the coil.

It ended up working enough to get the road tune done but now i need to find a replacement harness AND now im thinking ill need to upgrade ignition as well. We're looking at putting down 400-450whp.

I put wiring specialties harness in when I got the car, it's pretty good harness. I recently did their full engine harness as well and noticed a huge improvement in how the engine runs

how is IP ignition compared to Splitfire? Splitfire seems to be the go-to choice because of its value.

looks like IP ignition also doesn't need ignitor/PTU......

I'm still waiting on them to come in but I will let you know how it goes once I get them on and get the back on the dyno.

I found a nice picture.
Do you know if that modified coil cover come with it or sold separately? Obviously stock cover will not work anymore.

So I ended up with some FIC 850cc injectors and Haltech Platinum Pro Plug In ECU. Will probably install soon, what A/F numbers should I be shooting for on the street tune?

I have an unused set of RC 1200cc injectors that I'm looking to sell. $400 takes me. They' cost me over $600+ tax

PL4-1200 is the model if anyone wants to check the specs.

Email is best

I believe they are in the $1200-$1500 range, but obviously I should let RainR32 answer that.
