True stance would be achived by the offset, I bet his off set is quiet small for our cars. Also he has his camber adjusted along with tires stretched. You would not get exact stance with spacers and springs.

That car is most likely bagged. If it's indeed on coilovers, there's zero suspension travel.

EDIT: It is bagged: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3182822/2 ... akacity-jp (looks better on the first set of wheels)

There's also a crapton of camber there, which means it handles like crap.

Eibachs will get you nowhere near that low. NO spring / strut setup will.

If those are 40mm, and you buy 38mm, your wheels will be 2mm further OUT, and you'd better be cozy with a body shop.

There's only one way to do this: Find out the exact fitment of those (if you want to replicate the look).

Personally, I'd run an inch more height with a real tire (none of that queer tire stretch) and keep the camber limited to a degree or two, max.

I wish you lots of luck finding your next set up.

it's not easy trying to get that set up that the wheel sticks out while the tire is in the fender. Most guys go out and buy the wheels & tires they want with the best offset and then measure how many mm they need to get the rim were they want it. Some even buy bigger spacer and then have them cut down to what they need.

pushing the wheel out or even with the fender is a big problem for those that have suspension travel. One good dip or someone sitting in the rear of the car and hitting a pot hole will cause problems.

for someone to tell you what you need, you'll need to have the same set up. Everything has to be the same from suspension to offset, wheels size, tire size, tire name brand and even alignment.

I myself have started to look for wheels and tire and so far no one has been able to give me an exact offset for what I'm looking for. And I think my set up is much simpler then yours.

Being that my car is the family car & daily driver I need a set up that won't give me any problems when going out on long trips, having 4 or 5 people in the car or even when taking the car to higher (XXX mph) speeds. I don't want any rubbing for any reason but I also don't want the set up sunk in the wells.

what I would like is to have a setup that will tuck my wheels & tires. All I want is to have 3mm space between tire & fender without using spacers. I need to run full size tire not stretch nor tiny sizes, this only bring problems.

The car now has a small drop with Tein H-Tech springs that gives a 1 finger gap between tire & fender on all 4 corners with a correct 4-wheel alignment. This is the set up I'm looking for:

front 8.5x20 with 245/35

rear 10x20 with 285/30

if I go to a shop or call on the phone everyone gives me a different offset.

I think that the set up you want will need the air suspension, I don't see it working with springs unless you get to the point that you don't have any travel. This will not make you happy when you have to drive the car and even worst if you have bad city streets.

I think you need to jump to the VIP style which will need air suspension and maybe body work to get what you want. This means big bucks $$$$.

seeing as im so new to the m, what do the x guys run for flush camber? 1 positive i like about the m over my z's and my previous g is that the rear has no lip to roll or is pre rolled.

do the rwd and awd m's share the same offset stances? i know the x sits higher but i plan on doing +38 9.5's all around on eibachs. no crazy slammage here, this is my daily lol

FYI, I havent tried this yet, but on G35 some guys cut the rubber spring mounts to get .25"-.5" more drop in the rear. I have Eibach springs too and I dont like the front being so much lower than the rear.

I was hoping that wasn't going to be the case, but you're right. Unfortunately, I just don't have that money to spend on the car right now.

Did you know that the air suspension kit for the M45 runs $4,293 + $300 shipping + $1000 installation = $5,593 total.
Ridiculously overpriced considering how much it really costs them to produce it. Maybe sometime in the future, though.
and that's just the start, most guys don't like to talk about when the system breaks.

What about the prices on wheels?

a regular (1pcs wheel) staggered set in 20's with tire are going for $2,000 - $2,500

lucky winter is almost here and I have 6 months to save up.

Hmm I need to look into that. I want to go as low as possible on springs and I don't care if I destroy the ride feel in the process.

As long as I'm low, I'm happy. :)

What's the distance between your tires and the fender in the rear on the Eibachs? Is there a VERY visible gap? Does it look bad?
Here is the write up on it, the M has the same type of spring mount in the rear so I assume this could be done on the M.

My gap is ok, Looks higher in the rear but not by much.

lineup you can run a wide variety of offsets and from what I've seen you wont be able to fit a 10" wide rim on the front let alone a 265 tire. Definitely will have to be a stretched tire for that to fit up front and you will need some neg camber in order not to rub your fenders or cause damage. In order to get that look from above you can put on 22"s with an eibach drop or a tein s tech drop. I know someone with an M45 that has the s techs and it looks good, I thought they were 20"s until I read the tires side wall. Or you can just run 20"s and it will also look good. One thing I've heard is, "make the rims fit your car" Only if money wasn't an option that would be a good peace of advice for us all. LOL

Eric, why can't you do Tein springs? There are several people on here that have used them with no issues..

I have the Tein H-Tech springs on my M45, perfect for what I need them for. 1 finger gap between tire and fender lip.

the Eibachs will be lower

but I never got to see the M45 with Tein S-Tech

Thanks again man

No problem.
