damn, i wish i had to calm composure to film this **** i encountered on mother's day. story goes: i accompany my parents and niece to the cemetery to pay respects to my sister/niece's mother. (this is important to my more than usual, heated reaction to following events) my niece goes to her mother's marker, drops on hands an knees and proclaims that she misses her mother (she's 7). this makes me quite emotional. another car pulls up and parks about 10ft from our car and a dude gets out, walks to another marker near my sister's and does his thing. he finishes, gets back in the driver's eat of his vehicle, starts it up, then immediately turns it off. lady gets out the passenger side, walks to the same marker, all the while glaring at us, then starts spe4aking to the marker audibly so we can hear, all the while staring at us. it's a cemetery, so i don't pay much mind to who does what while paying their respects, as i know that all people do different things to ease their own minds.
she finishes up and as she passes my family towards her car she begins with a "hello, i mean hola". look, it's a cemetery, i frequent it often, i even take the initiative to stake in crosses and palms if i see them lying on the ground (in the vicinity of where i'm visiting), but i don't bother anyone because i'm pretty are they're all there to grieve and want to be left alone.
she then goes on a diatribe about how we need to respect her and her people (she was white) if we wanted to be respected in return, then something else about how her mother came to this country, blah, blah, blah. i don't remember it all because at this point my blood was boiling. this b**** had the nerve to pull some s*** like this while we were quietly minding our own business, paying respects to my niece's mother, my mom's daughter, on mother's day. that made me crazy.
surprisingly, i managed to not swear at her in front of my niece, but i sternly told her to get in her car and leave. she went on with her nonsense while getting back in her vehicle while i got between their car and my family. seconds later, her husband exited the drivers side apologizing, saying that his wife was ill in the head, to which i repeatedly suggested that he get back in the car and leave immediately.
i'm the only actual brown one in my immediate family, and i've dealt with this kind of crap in the past, but it never seems to not drive a thorn so far up my a**. also, i've never wanted to actually lay out a female so bad in my life. mentally ill or not, stick a ball gag in the b****'s mouth before bringing her out in public.

I have a hard time even clasifying that as racism. Its too nice a term, though I cannot think of a harmful enough name for what that bag of crazy brain dumped on you.

At least you were able to contain yourself, or we would be seeing this story on the news instead of reading it here.

Personally I'd have gone into some kind of horrific nerd rage.

i would have loved to have been composed enough to snag a flower off my uncle's grave (less than 10' from my sister's grave), bring it to the b**** and hand it to her, saying that my uncle, who served in the US army so that she could have the freedom to spout off her bigoted nonsense, wanted to wish her a happy mother's day. unfortunately, i will never have that kind of composure when dealing with these situations personally.

Dam dude that is some serious obnoxious and completely inappropriate s***. Not at a cemetery like that I mean c'mon. I dont really know what to say, but I think you did the right thing (unfortunately). Just strap the sword on your back when going out in public then people wont f*** with you.

Some people are sick and jackazzes at the same time. She could have been racist as well, nothing against the law. She was wrong and at least the husband apologized.

I dunno, I've seen more people angry at different colors in the last 5 years than the other 42 years of my life combined. There's lots of stress in the air.

I'm sorry she acted that way, she probably is screwed up in the head. I am glad the guy was man enough to come out and apologize. That took a lot of grit to do.

Thats pretty lame dude. Sorry to hear this.

I'm white and I date a Peruvian girl. I've had to defend myself and her culture several times from ignorant people.

I forget where in CT you live. Where you at?

I thought rednecks and racists only lived in the south? This can't be so!
