and all this time I was thinking you had problems install the stickers :lolling:

I hope so also. I called UAS and their computers are down so I'm expecting them to call me back to purchase those few fittings.

LOL....I can never get those stickers perfectly straight! I have yet to put those on, but plan on it soon-ish. We go back to the field next weekend. Wooo!!
mexillis wrote:Sucks that you had problems with some fittings. I think every first timer installing bags runs into that. Be sure not to over tighten them and crack the tank. Some tips would be to make it hand tight then go over with soapy water bottle and go over the fittings that make bubbles. Idk how far you got into it but loctite 545 is really good to make a proper seal and I redid all my fittings instead of using Teflon tape once I found out about it. Is there any reason for going with 1/2 lines? Have you been in a ride with that size before?
I purchased the kit used, and all fittings are assembled. I found the leaks and cracks while testing all the fittings with soapy water. I dont know if Tyson overlooked the crack or FEDEX didn't care for the package so well. Either way, it's all good. I stopped by an air/hydraulic auto shop here locally and the owner referred me to the loctite liquid. I am using this liquid in conjuction with tape to ensure there are no issues. I will use the technique you suggested to ensure I dont crack one of the fittings installing it back.

The kit I purchased had all fittings and wiring all assembled. I am using his fittings but replaced the beatup 1/2" line that came in the kit. How will the 1/2" lines affect my ride? I plan on using both inlets on the VU4 with 1/2" lines also. Thanks!

it wont affect the ride at all, just the difficulty of getting it to the right height. idk what you bought from bagriders but if it has preset heights it wont be hard after the initial set up. Some people like to go up fast some like it slow. I have 1/4" lines but most upgrade to 3/8 when going with the VU4 so you dont have to use reducers on the PTC fittings.

Wow.....setting the ride height is key to me since I want an accurate alignment through my readings. The touchbox module allows me to control my bags wireless with my iphone up to 50ft away. The app on the phone also allows a user to view the psi of each bag. Here is a couple quick screen shots of it.

I've had a lot of response about this. I have just emailed the PDF file to members that are interested in this mod, but I will post a new thread up with the howto. I will have it up later this evening and link it from my page also. Thanks for the comment about my music....lol. :rotflmao

EDIT: Here is the link on installing the video module.
