As some of you all know, I installed a video module in my 07 M45 allowing me to play videos off my iphone and itouch to my OEM navigation screen. Below are photos of the DIY install directions I received directly from Naviks. The module can be purchased on Ebay. Please NOTE that I personally chose to use my iphone/itouch as my video device so your install may slightly vary depending on the video input device you so choose. In conjunction with the Naviks module, I installed a PA15-INFI (audio input module). With a generic iphone/itouch RCA cable with charging capabilities, I am able to listen and view videos through my factory system and screen. I hope this helps clear up some of the questions you all may have about this module. :bigthumb:

Picture of the iphone/itouch RCA cable I purchased from ebay. One side plugs into my iphone/touch and the RCA side plugs into the PA15-INFI audio module and Naviks video module. Also you can see a separate power and ground wire for charging capabilities. I wired this into my cigarette lighter located in the center arm rest.

THIS VIDEO IS AFTER I JAIL BROKE MY ITOUCH AND INSTALLED A SPECIAL APP TO ALLOW ME TO DO THIS. Also, the white dot you see on my Navi screen happened out the blue. I turned the itouch off, then back on and the navi screen was clear again. Sorry for the lack of audio at the beginning

I do not have the nav hack mod on my M45. My OEM navigation screen still locks out when moving. I looked over that nav hack mod and may plan on doing it. Curious, how do you push video to your navi screen with the nav hack mod?

If you are regarding the last video I posted that mirrors my itouch to the navi screen, I used "display out" from cydia. Great little app. I even planned on downloading the wii remote app and play nintendo roms on my navi screen....lol.

It comes with a detailed instruction and harness once you buy it. The connection you tap for the power is the purple line on the harness I believe.

As far as getting the video while in motion, I'm having that issue as well. I'm going to take a look at the wiring and see what line for the video I have to send to the bypass as well.

Yes it comes with instructions. I don't know what the iPod wire unit is vs a video module, but all you have to do is get the video out the iPod to an RCA jack and plug that into the unit. The audio wires you tie that into the audio system however (if you're concerned about the audio). The module would go on top of the audio/vid control system right behind the radio control buttons. That thing you have there looks pretty straight forward if you were to use it. The three RCA, like I said the vid goes to the module, the audio ties into the cars system somehow...I'd use a relay and switch, or just tie them to the aux somehow...the power tie that to a 12v, and then ground it with the grounding wires.

Sorry about the some hows and howevers, not thinking straight right now and got to get back to what I'm doing, ill come back later and clear it up.

Go down to the place and buy it and talk to the guy there, he's pretty helpful 719 kent ave, Brooklyn (718-797-9411). If you go down there be prepared to wait a while, they make the wiring harness on sight at purchase. They'll also do the install for you. I actually planned on installing mine this weekend too, I'd do it with you, but my setup is going to take a little more attention and time, I'm going to set up my steering wheel buttons to also control my carputer, and set up the nav screen as a dual screen setup.
