Thanks. I guess I never thought of that. I've seen it show up twice, both times after extended trips. I assume it must be set for 3.5 hrs of continued driving because after I shut off the car it went away.
Is this is the manual??

Something that never occurs to people, either the new battery you installed may be defective, or possibly the fob is going bad. Try purchasing another battery from a different retailer to eliminate that as a possibility. If the issue persists, then your fob is on it's way out.

ok guys, im confused. everything works as it should, no issues with anything. remote works, new battery. unlock and locks car, from near, far.. intelligent key works, car starts w/ fob in pocket, everything is 100% operative.
except, when i come close to the car, the orange light comes lit on dash. sometimes it doesnt come lit until i sit down and start the car. even when i press unlock on fob, when i'm close enough to see dash, i see the orange light on.
anyway, the orange key light in on.. its always on.. driving around, and never comes off.. has been on for weeks.
please help. no warranty.

The OM for the '10 altima coupe lists several 'key' symbols that may light on the dash. I think the one you're referring to seems like the 'NISSAN Intelligent Key battery discharge indicator' (the fob 'coin' battery is low), but an '06 Murano may have different symbols. I've had fresh batteries of those types in several devices that were weak or defective. The first thing I'd do is replace the battery again. I bought my car used w/no manual, so I downloaded one right from the NICO AC home page. I'm sure there are sites for free downloads of other Nissan OM's, & probably any car made for that matter. Being OCD, I also bought a brand new, sealed hard copy on eBay for the glove box.

But I changed the battery, and the light still there.
Disconnect battery removes light for a day or so.. but it comes back

I hate to say this but try the dealership? Maybe they can reset it properly for you and if it comes back you can always go back to them.

If you take it to the dealership, make sure you ask the actual code number and what it references. They will charge you 130 at Nissan to check it. My Check Engine Soon light was on last week. Believe it was EO1, Mass Air Flow. They were going to charge me 400 to reprogram it. I end up clearing it myself with a technique someone posted on here. It hasn't sense come back on.
