Hey guys new to the forum and can not find any how to's on this topic and wanted to know if anyone could guide me in the right direction. The brake lights and high stop light are not working but my running lights are, I narrowed the problem down to the tail lamp sensor but I do not have the money at the moment to purchase a new one. So really need a way to bypass it until I can purchase the new part. Even if its just a picture of the wiring would help alot. I hope one of the experts here can help me out. Thank you in advance guys.

Are you talking about the sensor that's attached to the brake pedal itself? or the brake light sensor that mounts to the tail light itself?

Can you post a picture of the part in question? There are wiring diagrams here: http://www.ttxtz.com/tech/lee/

I doubt anyone will know how to rewire it, most people just replace it with a used one from someone with an extra or parts car. Someone on the Facebook parts group was selling 2 for $15 each a week or so ago. The part itself has resistors in it just like you want to do, if you could open it up maybe you could just solder in new ones.

i really would like to know how to jump it though if this happens again :/, I have seen in other posts here that people have done it but no one explains how they accomplished it.

I think it was a guy named "Taylor'dupIn Burberry" in the buy/sell group that had them. I'm sure other people do too if you just post a wanted ad. Sorry I couldn't help figure out how to bypass it, like you said I'm sure there's a way

Wait I might have found something, is this what you're looking for?

EDIT: Ignore this I just realized it was on a Supra forum lol I don't think the wire colors are the same, but its strangely similar about the brake sensor being attached to the D/S rear brake light

Ok I tried purchasing a tail lamp sensor but the damn thing was lost in the mail. I really need my car up and running asap, someone has to have bypassed this sensor before. can someone at least point me in the right direction, this has gotten ridiculous.

Um, this was on the front page of the tech section. It's almost word for word what you're looking for:

what i did when mine died is i pried it out of the casing and found a bunch of bad solder joints.
i carefully resoldered the board where the oem solder was bad(cold solder,it looks like frosting on cereal)the dummy light on the dash still comes on but all my lights work.
im sorry,i didnt get pics.but the board slides right out with a flathead screwdriver
