Lol since both Freddie and Robert PM'd me I figured I'd respond on here instead of twice.

I SHOULD be able to make it, but am not 100% sure at the moment. I will keep you guys posted as the date draws closer.

Whats going on guys,

I have been looking at this forum for about a month now after purchasing my 2009 Infiniti M35x. I am in the United States Marines, and am getting stationed in the New Jersey area. I hope to be there before September 10th. So if I make it out there before you guys have the BBQ, I will be sure to head that way with some items for the BBQ.

Hey guys. This is my first post on NICOclub.com

Let me start off by saying thank you to all those who contribute to the forum actively. I'm thankful to the newbies (for asking a lot of the questions I have too) and veterans (for sharing some of their wisdom and helping us solve a lot of our car issues) alike.

For the record, I'm not an M owner yet, I hope to be one by Saturday tho! I've been in the market for an M45 for about a few months now. And as such I've been reading up on it quite a bit on this forum. I put down a deposit on a private party sale last weekend and will be picking it up Saturday morning. :woot:

I would love to join up on Sept 7th and meet the rest of the Tri-State area M Community.

We officially have one more M owner in NJ!

I picked it up on Friday night (by Boston) and drove it back to Jersey on Saturday. Wife went to the DMV this AM to get some LE Plates on it. I'll bolt them on today when I get back home.

I had quite an interesting trip to Boston & back...20 mins after I paid the seller and drove off his property with my M45, my wife who was following me in our SLK, started hi-beaming me violently and I knew something was wrong. I turned down the music to hear a scratching / dragging noise coming from the right side of the vehicle. I pulled over ASAP and began to walk around the vehicle, to my horror, the right side of the exhaust was lying on the floor! I called the seller and asked him how on earth this could have happened, etc. He was a standup guy and came to the site of my disable vehicle to see what was going on. Turns out the hanger let go off the muffler and the weight of it alone caused it to brake off the pipe by the welds. Rest of the exhaust seemed to be A-OK. I drove it to his house that night and we brought it to a exhaust specialist the next day and they re-welded it back on. He took care of all the expenses there too. Drove it home with a big grin on my face. I do hear something sqeaking now by the right exhaust pipe, will need to figure out where that's coming from. haha...that's a project for another day.

Hey there congrats on your purchase & welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear what happened to your exhaust, the hanger by itself could not have let go of the muffler , it does require some force to get it out, anyways where in Nj are you ?
Btw. If you want I have a full set Oem midpipe and mufflets that I am trying to get rid of, good condition took it of the car with aprox. 50K miles. Sorry for thread jacking :)

Come on we need more Ms than last year !!!
