I was finally able to replace the filter two months after I bought it. Dealer wanted 1/2 hour labor, $54.ezb57e wrote:Good for you.
Seriously, if you have any dexterity at all, you can do this.
If all you're concerned about is getting it as cheaply as possible, just about any seller on ebay. How often you need to change it depends on where you drive. Do you pass fields or other open dusty areas? If so you may need to change it more frequently. I changed mine every 10K miles.iRogue wrote:Anyone has a source to get it at best price?
P.S. Manual states in-cabin filter should be replaced every 15k miles or once a year. Is this necessary or can I get more miles/time out of it?
What else should I be concerned about?Rogue One wrote:If all you're concerned about is getting it as cheaply as possible, just about any seller on ebay. I meant to type every year, but somehow I put month insteadRogue One wrote:zengshengliu wrote:Usually it is recommended to replace the cabin air filter every month.Nissan's minimum interval is every three months.
!lol! yeah, one month did seems a bit excessive. I have only 25 000 km on my Rogue. I think I'll wait till it's close to 40 000 km and then replace it. Also, I can't find a thread where it was recommended to turn on the blower to high when you have the cabin filter out to flush out and lodged debris etc., in the system. Can someone enlighten us on what direction the air flow should be when the blower is on high to flush out the debris? Towards the floor or straight out venting?zengshengliu wrote: I meant to type every year, but somehow I put month instead![]()
It really depend on the area where you drive. The dirtier the air, the more often you need to change it.
