If you live in a climate where it rains a lot, your pivots wear out and you get this really irritating noise when wipers operate. I bought some used pivots in perfect condition from Georgia. You can also buy them new from courtesy parts for about 32 dollars each. Used, the whole linkage assembly is about 30 dollars.
Tools-a puller or a large screwdriver to pry the wipers off bolt-10 mm and 14 mm socket-maybe a tiny bit of grease for ball joints-some silicone if you break snap fasteners-vacuum to clean out air duct if you like-philips head screwdriver for two screws that hold on duct cover
procedure
-remove duct cover. two philips head screws and snaps-remove 14mm nut holding wiper on-remove wipers using puller or pry device-remove 3 10 mm nuts holding each pivot. this might be hard because of rust-unsnap the ball joint attaching link from passenger pivot to motor-pull out the linkage and two connecting pivots
