wiper noise is caused by bushings wearing out. you can get them for about 30 dollars new at courtesy partshttp://www.courtesyparts.com/b....html

im not sure about the bushings you are refering to. the arm will just pop off if you do it right. remove the NUT on the wiper pivot and press down gently on the joint in the wiper arm. do that a few times and it should pop up.

i never use a puller on those.

This is a picture of wiper arm pivot assembly(for passenger wiper). It is attached at the top by 3* 10 mm bolts. the linkage from wiper motor and linkage to driver side pivot attaches to pictured assembly via steel ball joints which come loose by light prying with screw driver. the pivot is made of hard plastic and it has worn out as it pivots around bolt that holds wiper arm.

Yes, the wiper arm comes off easily by lifting up and wiggling. The spline part is bigger than is suggested by pic. The arm hole is splined as well.

looks like the entire wiper linkage including two pivots is only around 35 bucks at wrecking yards.

I am failing to understand what you are trying to do here.

If you remove that last nut holding the pivot to the cowl, the whole pivot will fall down inside the cowl. You then just pop the arm(s) off with a screw driver. The pivot is an assembly, once the arms are off it. It does not come apart any further then that.

Thanks:) Chiltons and Mitchels did not mention that the pivot assembly could be disconnected from wiper assembly. Had to drill one of the 10mm bolts.

was quoted 45 dollars for pivot over the phone. went to two wrecking yards but all the passenger pivots were worn out like mine. trying to repair with goop . i have done plastic welding before but don't have the materials. goop might be too soft. the goop seems to work. i put it in layers to allow to dry. i than oiled and greased. put reconditioned pivot back in car and it seems to work. you might also be able to reposition pivot so worn side is on top. you'd need to drill new holes for the attaching 10mm bolts.
