Thinking on replacing this Bose sub for one 10" Alpine SWR-T10
Since I don't like the Idea of loosing trunk space or much worse.. The rattle sound, I'm planing to replace the original Bose sub and place the new Alpine in the same spot with a very flat fiber grass enclosure.
Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. ;)

Are you planning on adding an amp? or will you run it off the stock amp. My concern is the noise cancelation system they have, I want more bass too since the stock sub is not that great but the noise cancellation system uses the speakers and if you add an amp it might throw off the balance of the system and you might get noise out of the sub since you will be ampliying the signal and increasing the volume of the NC system.

Thanks Kermit! very helpful :dblthumb:

ok, what I'm planing to do is to replace the bose amplifier with an Alpine system. and since everything is in the trunk I don't have to touch the dashboard. All I need is the power from the battery and we are in business!
this is the equipment I will use:

Alpine PXE-H660

for the Sub :
Alpine PDX-M6

600 Watts RMS

And for the speakers:
Alpine PDX-F6

Power rating 150W x 4

you are right! Thats why I'm using the Alpine PXE-H660.

where were you planning to put (hide) the amps?? since those amps are really small, you should still have lots of trunk room -- if you install them in the trunk...post pix when finished...
