I give you the Zombie crusher 1....7.3 Liters of pure zombie roadkill madness.

Find some guns, and find a good spot to hold out at, like a grocery store roof top...let the fun begin.

Unrealistically ill go with Green Lanterns ring... I think that tops Iran mans suit right there... "I Love Iron Man" by the way.

In real life tho ide go with the AAR-12!!! this baby can shoot different variety of rounds, like grenade my favorite out of all of em! Im really lazy when it comes to cocking shotguns so ill just select the semi auto setting on her and were good to go. This would be great if you can have a belt that holds like 10 30round clips.

EDIT: Don't kill me but i was passing by the tv and saw this dude on! pretty badass! Ide take his wand.

and I always thought you were a .44 magnum kind of guy...

At the moment this is my home defense. My .357 Single Action Army is at my dad's in his safe along with my 1903' Winchester 30-30 Lever action. I don't have a safe to keep them, so I just leave them with him.

Planning on picking up a 1991A1 .45, .40 S/W and an Ar-15 variant down the road though...

You guys all really really need to read this book:

its an oral history of the first world wide zombie outbreak, as told by soldiers, doctors, civilians, journalists etc. By Mel Brooks son Max (sam author as zombie survival guide). Also CharlieO, as far as skills with sharp things and sticks are concerned, I will kill something three times before it hits the ground

Most people who suggest a katana or such couldn't successfully cut a tomato.

Here's the reality of the zombie attack:Those of you that choose to fight with these exotic weapons will either die from lack of skills, or die when you run out of ammo. Those of you like myself who grab a few weapons that take popular ammo and bug the hell out will survive.

To that end, here's my loadout, and why:

Melee: Cold Steel War Hammer: no real melee skills required, just pick an end to use!

Backup: Two of the most common pistol rounds are the .40 S&W (tons of police) and the 9mm Luger (miltary). To that end, I'll take my FNP 40 in .40 S&W, and my soon to be aquired subcompact XD in 9mm.

The shotgun: Single most important anti-zombie device. 12 gauge, pump or auto. Any good model will work. I'm partial to FN, so the SLP Tactical it is!

There is only one choice for a rifle:An AR-15 variant. I'd probably use a flat-top variant with an ACOG or similar low power sight. 18" or 16" barrel. Why? Sniping zombies is a bad idea. If you're far enough away that the 5.56 can't be of use, then you don't need to shoot them!

So basically, for zombies, it's 9mm, .40 S&W, 12ga, and 5.56mm. Any weapon in those calibers would probably be a good choice.

Oh, and if you REALLY want a sniper rifle: .30-06 or .308 are your prudent options.
If that ar-15 is semi auto sure.

I still believe fully automatic weapons are a poor choice. theres always the temptation to go full auto in a panic situation. Zombies will NOT die from body shots. Zombies are simply a dead body being utilized by a virus of some kind. The only way to take out a zombie is to destroy its head...They no longer need their vital organs to function, and all "guns" are designed on that principle. Of inflicting lethal damage on a LIVING target. you can pump rounds into a zombie all day long, severe limbs etc and it will stil be combat effective untill you put one in its brain.

Its most economical to take ONLY head shots. And a .22 is the perfect choice. a .22 to the skull will inflict as much damage as your .40 and 5.56

A shotgun is also not a very good anti-zombie weapon. The ammunition for it is bulky, you must be at close range to use it..and the riusk of blood splatter , and thus spraying infectious material everywhere onto your self and your party is greatly increased. plus why use the shot gun when a .22 from a distance is sufficient. the shot gun will only serve to physicaly "move" zombies out of the way. Its not worth the weight and the extra ammo.

Of course. I can't buy a FA AR-15.

A zombie's brain must be ruined for it to die. If humans can live through .22s to the head, zombies will too. A .22 to the skull will not inflict as much damage. Hell, there's a good chance it wouldn't pierce the skull! I've thought about it, but a .223 is the most dependable, common ammo around.

The .40 and 9mm's are designed purely to get me back to the AR.

Also, we can't forget the possibility of unfriendly human targets aswell.

Chances are you will only need to kill zombie's at close range. If not, running will suffice. Nothing ruins brain matter like buckshot, and also, there's a wide variety of ammunition to choose from. Also, there's much to be said about moving a zombie back.

Blood spatter, hell, even zombie bites are less of a problem for me than you'd think. Why? Because I'd be running around in full motorcycle leathers. Oh yes. Zombies, given only a brief nibble before buckshot to the head, couldn't chew through the tough and armored leathers. And the helmet provides some measure of protection.

I've thought this through.

You can buy an part for the barrel (cant remember what its called off the top of my head) that tightens the spread and gives you some more distance or you can just but a slug round.

I still think I would want a long range. You can't always run. I think it'd be best to hold up somewhere with lots of supplies. You would still need short range weapons for when you have to venture out for food & supplies and what not. But it'd be good to have a relatively long range weapon to keep zombies away from your perimeter, and to pass the time. I'm assuming there won't be any of the usual forms of entertainment (ie internet, tv, whatever).

I would just get a **** ton of MRE's, Then build a pretty decent size moat around my house, get some piranhas maybe sharks in there. Keep my babies alive by luring zombies into there.

I would of course try to compile a nice arsenal somewhere in my house, and try to get a stryker of some sort vechicle to use when I need to go out for any type of re supply.

But I think all in all, your best bet would be to cut your self off one way or another, and Im pretty sure the sharks and Piranhas will have more then enough to feed on.

Aye they might but wouldn't it be possible for them to be infected as well and turn into zombie fish?

I would go to a military base and steal one of these along with a lot of ammo. They can't get in and a turret machine gun would break em down like a shotgun when you needed to re-fuel.
