Ok so some of you are taking this serious and some are just trying to be the guy saying the funniest thing. That's cool

This is my serious stand point:*Note: This all from the idea that the outbreak has just happened. No form of government has recouped at all, there's not self sustaining fortification to hide in. You're running from area to area constantly.

Armor:There's not much armor you can have against a zombie. Kevlar vests are pointless because 99.9% of zombie bites are on your extremities. Suits of armor are possibly the worst because you loose your mobility. The only option you have is: a wet suit. There is a certain kind that is made to withstand minor cuts. Which means, it could withstand bites for the most part. At least long enough for you to knock the zombie off.Downsides: It's expensive as hell and also hard to find in a normal store. It's also not the end all solution, but it's your best bet.

Weapons:Melee:For slow moving zombies, this is your primary weapon against small crowds. Against fast moving zombies or large crowds, NEVER use melee. Just run. Most people say swords. I say NAY! First off, you gotta find a sword. Not some cheap thing you buy at a gun show. You might be able to take down one or two zombies with that but it's gonna break. Real swords might be ok, but you only have your stabbing. Theres no blunt impact option. My choice might be a little cliche but:Good ol' Crowbar. I'd prefer one of the longer thicker types (that's what she said.) I'd also prefer one with a more rounded edge than pictured. The one pictured isn't rounded, it's just a 90 degree bend. You got your blunt force hits with the rounded part. This will be good for knocking them back. You got your stabbing with the pointed end. Also, it's a tool. You can open **** with it lol.Downsides: Heavy, kinda awkward to carry. Might need to make some sort of sling for it or something.*NEVER try to swing the crowbar like a bat and hit them with the none rounded side. If that sticks into their skull and doesn't kill them, you're out a weapon and/or you're going to pull said zombie into you.

Secondary weapon:Rifles are ok. I'm a decent shot, but to be honest (and this counts for most everyone) in an extreme stress situation and in a situation where I have to be constantly moving, there's no way I'm gonna be pulling headshots. Submachine guns are a waist of ammo. End that right there. My choice, also cliche:Shotty. I chose the Mossberg 500 Persuader. 8 shot, 12ga. I just like this shotgun a lot. It's easy to shoot, holds 8 rounds. This is just preference. Preferably buckshot but field will work too.Shotguns are good because you don't really need to aim too much. If you don't kill the zombie, you're gonna hurt him enough to slow him way the hell down. Someone in this thread said 'don't be a ***** and use 12ga.' Why? A 12ga will down a zombie just as good as 20 or .410. You've got nothing to prove and no one to impress in a zombie apocalypse. Downside: Loud as hell, low ammo count, shells are big compared to pistol ammo, kind of awkward to carry without a sling.

Back up (aka screwed weapon)Really there's no other choice here. Handgun.I'm not going to lie, I don't know much about handguns. I have a Springfield XD (.45 acp) and a Ruger Mark III (.22) that my dad gave me. If I had to choose, I would pick a .22 with a high capacity magazine. I say .22 because you can carry more ammo easier then other calibers. 'Oh but the .22 is such a small bullet, it'll be hard for it to be effective at distances, etc etc.' Wrong. If you're using this weapon, you're already in a last ditch situation. So the zombies are gonna be close. If they're not close, chances are you're:a.) not going to be able to headshot them anyways, because handguns are hard to shoot and you're already gonna be stressing out making it double hard to shoot.b.) you're not in a last ditch situation. In this situation, a .22 is going to be just as good as a .45 or 9mm.Downside: Really hard to be accurate and you have to be accurate for it to work.

I could go into more detail about each weapon choice, but I'm tired of typing this.Class Dismissed.

lol yeah. When it's slow at work, sitting in class, on the crapper, in the shower, or when I'm tricked into hanging out with my family, I just kinda sit there and think up scenarios... and I usually go into pretty good detail. It's how I pass the time without going insane.I could also go into detail about time travel and what would win between a grizzly bear and a silver back gorilla.

Thats very good thinking otterman. Il have to agree 100 percent. You all need to play left 4 dead on 360... gods gift to people who love to slaughter zombies. a flame thrower would also come in handy.
