It's two different colors. My door handles are also blacked out as well as my stocker rims. I like it and I think the stockers look better black.

The wheels and door handles were painted. I lucked out with this Z, the way you see it is the way I bought it from the dealership and they also replaced the cloth seats with Katzkin leather seats. I took off the 350Z from the hatch so I just have the Nissan emblem on the rear hatch, I think it gives it a cleaner look. Thank you for the compliment, I love it too. Powdercoating might have been a better route, but like I said this is how the dealer had it so I didn't have much of a choice, but I'm not complaining either.

Those pics are from my myspace page, I'll put up some better pics later today when I get a chance. No, I got the car brand new from the dealer. The dealer had the paint and the Katzkins already in the car when I went to initially look. Couldn't pass it up it was too good of a deal.

lolthat hood is what we call 07-08 hood its different to fit the new engine. the only thing on the hood that is different is the paint. his grill is also stock from 06-08

Richie is correct, everything is stock 07-08 on the car except the paint. As far as how I blacked out the handles the dealer had it done when I got the car and they had a shop paint them. Powder coating probably would have been better, but since it was done for me and I didn't pay for it to be done I can't really complain. I paid for the car as if nothing extra had been done to it so I got lucky.

I think you can powder coat the handles. I'm pretty sure I've read in other places where people have done it.

really i thought it would be difficult because of the powder coat process. and plastic is not such a great conductor

Anything that can be given an electrostatic charge can be powder coated. Just imagine how dry sugar would stick to plastic wrap when you're wrapping a container (you're a cook right?). The only difference would be the process of curing. Since metal melts in a higher temperature range, the resin used in the curing process has a higher melting point whereas in plastic, resin with a lower melting point is used so that the plastic doesn't melt.

but powder coating is not used with resin from my knowledge of it its a powder that sticks to the the charge on the part and then its baked on.

The "powder" is made from finely ground color pigment and resin, essentially powder paint. The object is then charged up so that these particles would adhere to it. Then it is baked in an oven where the powder melts onto the object.

Are you sure? I've found many articles (google) that say new technology make it possible.
