Hi everybody! I just bought my first Z, a 1990 300zx Twin Turbo RHD. I've been a Z32 fan for a while now, and I finally got the opportunity to buy one. Got a few upgrades already on it including:
-HKS intake
-2.5"down pipes and test pipes
-Fujitsubo Exhaust
-AshSPEC tuned
-RPS flywheel and clutch
-Hawk HPS Brake pads
-Got veilside body kit, mission fenders, abflug hood and nose panel
I just ordered an air/fuel ratio gauge, and will be purchasing a few other gauges.

Thats about it for my car, a pic for y'all https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hp ... e=5592ED93

I have a few questions for the more experienced guys, hopefully somebody can help me out or point me in the right direction.

1) I live in Canada and getting parts online is usually a burn on the wallet, is anybody else located in Canada that use a site (either performance or OEM) to get parts off of with lowish shipping (or even better FREE!)

2)I don't really know if attaching this video will work, let me know if it doesn't and ill try again

Does anybody know of the culprit? Smoke is only coming out of one side. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

PS. Used this forum to help with fixing a loose clamp leaking gas, thanks for the help guys!

Let me know if the picture or video didn't work and I'll give it another go

Thanks!

Matt

1. Welcome to NICO, glad to have ya.
2. Sadly the only parts guys I know in Canada are AMS Canada and they are questionable, I'm not going to start a discussion about it here but you can google them and make your own decision.
3. Its not my cup of tea but as long as you like it and keep it clean and maintained that's all that matters.
4. Smoke out of only one side usually indicates that the turbo on that side is probably packing up if it hasn't done so already.

Thanks NolimitZ32! I appreciate the response. So I guess I'll have to replace a turbo then eh? Are there any more indicators to check and confirm it? Thanks!

Generally when your turbo seals let go, the turbo will develop shaft play and you will find liquid oil in the turbine housing, to perform the inspection you will need to remove the downpipe and physically inspect the inside of the housing and shaft play.
