with maf on starts real good run's bad dies after 10 sec's, or if you push the gas it dies

without maf starts real good run's ok dosn't die ,and if you push the gas it's delayed but rev's up a little bit

is it just the maf sensor?

could it be something else also things i just replaced because of problem timing belt, fuel filter, tps (throttle positioning sensor)

yeah but does the fuel pressure rise when you accelerate as it should? you kinda need a gauge

I would think that if it were the maf ti would run the same with or witout, sorry I don't run a maf, on the older afm cars the afm controlled the fuel pump, so when the afm dies you'd get no signal to the pump, can't remember if ti were ground or hot but it cut one or the other

shows what I knwo abot maf's glad you figured it out

noise form the fan coud be a bad wterpump, whent he fan clutch lock up it just sounds liek it's spinning really fast...beacuse it is... if the shroud isn't making contact I'd have a looks at the belts and if that ain't it I'd looka t the waterpump

It has the values you need to test stuff like the MAF when it goes bad.

As for the clutch fan, what kind of rubbing sound? Sliding, squeaking, slapping? In any case, you might as well convert to an e-fan. Pull off the water pump and check to see if it has play out of spec. If it all checks out then you can slap it back on if you want and run it.
