There's a huge story here but instead of trying to explain that to you i'll just cut to the chase. A friend of a friend had my car for awhile. He apparently thinks he's a super mechanic and took it upon himself to try and get my regular headlights to work(they only worked when you had them on bright). He decided it would be a really cool idea to cut into all the wiring for the headlights and hook a speaker wire (yeah, that's right) to each of the wires to try and bridge power for the lights.

Now, My turn signals don't work, none of the headlights work, (they still pop up and down) and my turn signals don't work. Also, the battery is being drained by something and when you turn the engine off it runs for about 2 seconds, sputters, then dies. I don't know what to do. I've checked all of the fuses, i've checked all of the relays. Nothing.

Also, if it helps, the car has been 5 speed swapped but it was running fine until this guy got a hold of it.

Thanks

So far i've fixed some poor wiring. cleaned the blinker/light switch and still nothing.

Also, i know it's not just a burned bulb because the hazards still work. I presume it might be a burned headlight.

the initial problem si likely a bad swithc stalk, it's a common problem, and if allt he other problems appeared after your friend "fixed" it then undoing his "fix" should fix the problems he caused

All he did was connect a speaker wire from one headlight to the other.I've taken the switch off and cleaned the inside of it and i'm still having the same issues.

cleanign a switch doesn't replace it, you need to test the input and output signals at the seithc, if the signal goes in but not out then you have a bad swithc and you replace it (read as not clean)
