Last pass I made it was on stock rear suspension and almost bald 275/40/17 Nitto NT555R DRs.

Not sure what I'm going to use next year as I've sold the SSR Professors and am uncertain what I'll be running at the track. I have a pair of 16" x 8" Forgelines that would work nicely. I'm going to stay away from Bias-ply for now and stick with a radial as it should hold the car pretty well.

Nittos are great for getting good traction on the street and decent tire life, but I recommend a smaller wheel 15"/16" w/ a Mickey Thompson or Hoosier Drag Radial for the track if you are not wanting a true slick.

Basically...I recommend Nittos on your normal everyday set of wheels, but M/T or Hoosiers on a track only set of wheels. This way you can still drive around on a night when everyone is out racing for even better traction or drive to the track on them.

If you want maximum traction, nothing will replace a set of true bias-ply slicks.

The S13 runs an R32 GT-R rear end with a 4.368 crown and pinion, the S14 is a complete stocker at this stage.

So far the S14 is staying strong as far as flex goes

And I agree with you cnichols on the Nitto vs M/T deal, the Nitto's harder compound gives them much less grip.

I've had Nitto 555R's in 225 and 245 sizes and use 255 M/T's, although I'd like to try ET Street (non radials) next.

Loving those pics! What suspension setup are you running in the rear? I'm going to test out a custom QA1 setup that a buddy of mine put together for his S14 that he let me borrow. Also picked up some 255 Mickey Thompson Radials...pics to follow shortly.

Motors still pretty fresh fully built sr, full-race gt35r kit, 1000cc injectors, q45 tb, the car made 440 on the break in tune, and i have gone 11.6 at 120 so far but the stock sr trans don't like it very much, so i have it all torn down again for a z32 trans swap, 300zx rear, new injectors, wire & break line tuck, & paint..
