^^ because people think rotas are made of plastic and will explode because of those two or three cases that have become rota hater viral internet essentials for making sure they "know what they're talking about" when they bash on rotas.

Scott! My opinion get them custom widened find appropriate tires to look streched, slap on hubcaps, get appropriate spacers, then adjustable arms 15x9-10" wide steelies with hubcaps Hella cheap and would always be useful for track

how many more, 2? maybe 3? what's the back story on those wheel failures? did they suddenly crack while driving on the highway, or was it at some track event where the driver crashed and the wheel took the brunt of impact? chances are, you saw some pictures like this

and automatically assumed that all rotas are garbage.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you cannot run 225/40/17 on the p45's size that you want without a decent pull.

With just rolled fenders, 215/45/17 was pure fitment, slide a piece of paper and it woudl stay but any bump and you would crinkle your fender.

I ended up with 205/45/17. I do not know whether or not the 40 or 45 sidewall makes an immense difference as it does lower the profile when stretching. I would have found 40 series to be too low and any pothole or anything could seriously damage the wheels.

if your rolled as much as possible before actually pulling the wells, then try 215/45/17 (or 40 series). 225 is getting greedy, these wheels poke like crazy

It's cool though. Everyone starts somewhere. My car looked exactly like that at one point, except red and JDM Silvia front.
