After being MIA for 2 years, I finally got my UK-spec CA18 head and intake manifold.

Long story short, I bought a top end when I spent the summer of 06 in England on a deployment. Head and intake manifold were ported/gasket matched by Norris Designs. I left country and my friend was supposed to send it shortly after I left. Well, he got medically discharged, and all the property went to his parent's house afterwards, and I just now was able to get in touch with them to get my stuff.

Both manifolds...

J-spec manifold (I had gutted the butterflys awhile back)

E-spec manifold (oh so nice)

Sucky head vs bamf'er head

Money shot...

Happy day for me...been waiting to get this stuff back in my hands for a very long time. Time to buy solid lifters and the other valvetrain stuff so I can dust off those JUN 272's that have been sittin on the shelf for a year, haha.

Dude that is awesome! That is a pretty big difference in runners between the jdm and edm versions! Good luck with the rest of the build and remember we like to see pictures. How difficult was it to source this combo? How much did it cost if you dont mind me asking?

Sourcing it was pretty easy since I was in England and happened to come across a whole motor. Bought it, kept the top end and sold the bottom end.

I paid $1000 for the assembled motor and sold the bottom end for half of that. It was rebuilt and this was done before reassembly. The motor never made it back into the car.
