My 2000's was going out and I replaced it with a Bosch rebuilt unit and noticed the one in there was a Bosch one as well. I would have thought with only 130k on the clock it might be the OEM one since it had a 'Nissan' cast on the back. Can anyone confirm?

Hitachi LR1110 series was used on the '97. Not sure if there was a changeover after that.
Possible that the OE unit was previously rebuilt by Bosch (I assume it has a bosch sticker in addition to the hamburger logo that prompted your comment/question)?
What was your issue specifically?

Most Nissan products of that era used Hitachi alternators. I had a good experience ordering a replacement remanufactured one for my truck from Rock Auto. Mine drop shipped directly from Hitachi's facility in KY. I think my '05 G35 had a Mitsubishi alternator, but I couldn't swear to it. I don't think your 2000 Q came from the factory with a Bosch alternator.

Yea I wouldn't think a Japanese car would come with german parts as that's not how Japanese companies roll.

To answer 3Q Jay, voltage drops to 12 while idling became more and more frequent. I was watching voltage on my radar dectector

Used to be, lol. You wouldn't believe the amount of Bosch electronics in any Nissan from about '13 up.

I put a genuine branded (still Hitachi remann'd i believe) -6p000R on the FGY33 back in 2008. I would trust the hitachi rebuild on the assumption that they still have the original supply chain piece parts as an alternative to the nissan branded parts which are no longer avail (at least on the G50--haven't looked for the FGY33). For anything else. I think there is a 'hit or miss' question on the pedigree of the voltage regulator and to a lesser extent the rectifier and bearings. Which makes me tend toward 'refreshing' a sick alternator with a known pedigree.
Stators and rotor (slip rings) can fail, but that's pretty rare.
The original NSK green seal alternator bearings are still readily avail, and brushes are brushes. I have both of those in my garage if anyone would like help with their Hitachi LR1110 (basic config applies to both G50 and FGY33).

My Hitachi-branded rebuilt (ordered through Car Quest) lasted less than 5,000 miles.

Not terribly impressed with them.

what went out? Your example may indicate that the pedigree of the parts used in the hitachi rebuild does NOT meet OE specs anymore....
Do you still have it for Autopsy?

A rebuild is only as good as the quality of the parts that were used, and how many wear parts were actually replaced. I wouldn't trust reman parts from any of the auto parts chain stores, as they are likely using the cheapest possible replacement parts and only replacing the component that failed - I'd much rather take my alternator to a local automotive electrical shop and have it rebuilt, so I can be sure of the quality and that all the wear components are replaced.

Either that or buy a new OEM alternator.

This alternator wasn't rebuilt by an auto parts store chain - It was rebuilt by Hitachi, and branded as such.
