Right so keeping the stock system in place will allow faster warmup to achieve lockup. When it hits 180* the cooler valve opens and keeps it cool.

This is assuming the cooling system is good condition. Draining and refilling radiator is part of the install. probably a flush as well.

just so I dont feel like a complete tard, the setup with the least amount of backpressure is original cooler, aftermarket cooler, then filter? Any new words on the 90 degree elbow debate?

Plumbing the original, in-tank cooler in parallel with the Flex-a-lite aftermarket cooler (with the output of both coolers combined before passing through the spin-on filter) resulted in less backpressure than using either the original in-tank cooler (with no spin-on filter) or the Flex-a-lite cooler by themselves.

The presence of five 90 degree elbows in this parallel hook-up didn't seem to affect the backpressure - it was still considerably lower WITH the elbows (and spin-on filter) than the stock cooler (and no spin-on filter) was WITHOUT them.

So I missed this.

I thought Skibane eliminated the coke can in the lower radiator tank due to back pressure? But now I see that it is in parallel.

No external ATF filter on the FGY33 like the G50 either. Think I will be in SA in October.
