I need a injector dropping resistor ASAP i have paypal and can send money now. Will i damage the ECU or anything running my car without one?(to test start/run)im a idiot and didnt buy Dee's quick enough

I have a new one but I cut the connector off it. Let me know if you could use it.

no problem i cut, solder and heat shrink all day at work its for a CA though so i just have to match the wire colors?

you can easily damage the ECU by hotwiring the harness to bypass the dropping resistor, unless you switched to high impedence resistors and retuned the ECU..

what if i dont plug in a dropping resistor at all and start it will that damage the ecu?

you cannot run without a dropping resistor on an unmodified harness. the injectors will NOT open, as there is no power reaching them (or they can't reach ground, so no power flows through them.. forget which side the resistors are on)

if someone screws up the harness and bypasses the resistor, then you can have problems.

ooooh ok GREAT then thats why my car will not start and i havent done any damage woohoooo, doh! now i just need that dropping resistor

if you really want to buy one i have an actual ca18det one with the plugs and everything. I bought it on here about a month back but it turns out i already had on in my harness lol.
