ok guys sorry for posting this here but i figure it would be the best way to get parts relevant to my search. heres the deal.. Im looking for parts for my ca18 motor swap into my 91 240sx se. im doing the basic swap then upgrading so im looking for boost controller, guages.. boost, oil, water, etc... also fmic.. used or whatever ya got.. my goal is 350 hp so something that will support that much power.. fmic piping.. if i give u money for supplies and labor or premade pipes. bov.. im looking for a bov and the piping it sits on if u have it. umm.. i also need an aftermarket downpipe and exhuast... i was looking at the megan racing catback exhaust but i dont know what to do for a downpipe.. is the ssautochrome one worth getting or do u guys have custom ones made or that ud make and sell or w/e.. i do believe thats it until i get my motor .. if theres anyting else u guys can think of that i should get or that u have to sell me let me know! oh by the way i left out fuel pump, thermostat, waterpump etc. because i know about the basic worn out parts i need to get, i have already gotten them from autozone

thanks a bunch for the help guys!

I got a crap load of piping that im gonna use to make FMIC piping and exhaust I think we have enough to make 2 sets of FMIC piping and exhaust so it'll be custom. If you want we could probably make a custom exhaust for you in 3" piping.

I'm still undecided on few things such as BOV, possibly a HKS SSQV, Greddy Type S, or a 1g DSM. We could probably make you a custom exhaust with Megan racing muffler and cat back and it would probably be less. When we do the swap we'll see how much piping I have left and we'll go from there.

i love it when people talk about all this **** theyre gonna do and apparently dont have a ****s idea as to how to go about such work. i dont beleive you undertand the degree of complication your dealing with. and while were on the topic of engine swapping, have you even driven your stock 240 in any competition settings? i sincerely doubt it. learn to use what youve got before you attempt to have someone else carry out your half-assed ideas about 350 hp that you wouldnt even know what to do with. going back to jerking off to the fast and the furious and pretending you know what your talking about is probably your best plan of action.

WOW . I understand what you're saying and it is a valid point, but did you have to rip him like that?

plus im easily angered by people like this because i live in a town full of these people who dont know how to drive, at all, and the first thing on thier mind is an engine swap that they have no sucessful chance of performing, because they dont get what it takes to pull it off the right way and make it work reliably.if half these kids stopped worrying about running quarter miles or thinking they can own a drift contest and actually took their cars to a real track with where actual racing goes on the racing scene right now may be taken more seriously rather than played off as a bunch of punks that think they can drive like they see on tv if they could get that much horsepower

says the man with a total of 2 posts... I don't care who you know, talking trash like that is totally unwarranted and makes you look like the idiot that you are. The ca forum tends to be a little bit isolated from the flaming that goes on elsewhere, and I know that the moderators are very lenient on what is and is not acceptable, but on behalf of the members, I'd like to ask you to either clean up your act or post elsewhere...

thats not rational thinking, several of our members have expressed similar sentiments to other board users (keep your plans realistic) without being so abrasive. In fact, look, I just did it right there. I'm not sure that a ca18det engine swap takes so much work that there is no successful chance of pulling it off "the right way." By your post you are implying that drift contests and quarter mile drag strips are not "real" race venues... maybe your problem is that you are angry that some people don't share your view that road racing is the only "real" racing out there? At least those "punk kids" are keeping it at sanctioned events and off the streets. Just because we don't like someone's choice of motorsports doesn't give us the right to rip into them like that. There is enough room, enough race tracks, and enough horsepower for all different types of race venues... I'm not sure how failing to see that makes you a rational thinker.

this post is probably so deleted right now.

Please take your opinions to Gen Chat where they belong. His question was valid and honest and stoptalking was rude and nothing was gained from you talking.

I have a few issues with people like that as well, but I don't care to that vent that segment of my feelings and thoughts in cyber world where it can easily be deleted and thus, you've just wasted valuable PC time. He is free to share his goals to gain opinions on which way is the best way for him to achieve them.

Now if he was saying he wants make his stock CA18DET rev to saaaay 11,000rpm, asked forum members how to check the codes on his ecu and his only addition is a crushed DSM BOV and some CA16DE camshafts, then I personally would wake him up. But keep it clean and play nicely or I will start deleting posts only to ultimately lock this thread.
