Just thought I would get everyones attention with that first statement.

We just bought a 2001 Maxima (GXE) and there was no owners manual... can anyone provide a link to a PDF version or email it to me?

Also, for quickness... what is needed for the 60k service (need to know soon, and if I can't get a manual, hopefully some nice guy/girl will post what's needed).

I'm not a n00b when it comes to forums, I did the searches and that yielded no results.

The Maxima is for the wife, I do drive an 04 WRX though....

More room than the Sooby too. You should try a VQ35 powered Maxima.

a 6-speed gives the WRX a nice run for their money in a straight line, but in the twisties it gets left behind

I'm not sure what the SE / fast version of the Maxima is 0-60 wise, but the base model wrx is as fast as the 350z I believe... I think it would come down to the driver at that point though. Man I would kill for a 6 speed.

thanks for the help guys... I'm planning on getting a K&N drop in... but that'll be it for mods as far as this car goes... at least for now

HEY, I was looking on the maintenance schedule... there's nowhere that it says when to replace the timing chain... is there a timing chain on these cars? <confused>

Yes, there is a timing chain. The chain itself should last a few huundred thousand miles. The only things that might need to be replaced are the chain guides. But there again, those should last quite a long time.
