Hello all, I've been searching for my G37 for some time now. Originally I was searching out a 2008 automatic 5 speed sport model. I've taken several test drives with the 7 speed auto and it takes some getting used to, but not as bad as people make it out to be. The slap shift sells me because I can manual mode it if I want it to shift differently.

My problem....

I love the sport model features, the seat feels better, the rims/brakes are nicer, and you dump the mustache bumper.

But I made the mistake of driving an AWD model, I'm torn between the two. I cant seem to find a G37xS (maybe they dont exist?)

My compromise is the 2011 G37x model, it has the better looking nose, but still maintains smaller wheels and no peddle shifters.

Does a G37xS coupe exist or is it an internet myth?

of course after a whole day of searching, I find one RIGHT after I posted this. Barely noticed it because its not listed as a S model. Front bumper looks odd too, is it aftermarket or is it what they call an IPL model?

At that rate I wouldnt be too far off of just buying new, Just posted that for reference- Id honestly love to be around 28-32

perhaps another 6 months when they come out with the "q50" for 2013 these will drive down in value...

I guess I answered my own question though about the G37xS. Honestly at this price point I can justify a regular G37S seeing as it will be a garage queen on un-sunny days

A new G37xS coupe would sticker for over 50 grand. Unless you can get VPP pricing or have someone who can hook you up with something similar, 37k for a 2011 certified model is not too bad depending on where you live. Still that price should be able to come down some considering the mileage. That is the stock '11-'13 sport front bumper.

The Sport Package was not offered on the G37x until 2011.

Sport Package: 19x8.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with PP225/45R19 W-rated summer performance tires (front); 19x9.0-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with P245/40R19 W-rated summer performance tires (rear) RWD; 19x8.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with P225/45R19 all-season tires - AWD; sport-tuned suspension; 14.7:1 sport-tuned steering gear; Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD); unique sport front fascia; front sport seats with manual thigh extension and driver’s power torso and thigh support adjustment; unique sport stitching on steering wheel and front seats; aluminum pedals and foot rest; solid magnesium paddle shifters

If you get a 2009-2010 G37x you can easily add the wheels and Akebono braking system but adding VLSD and sport-tuned steering would be more difficult. Upgrading to sport seats and the other parts would be difficult and more expensive too. Tunerzstore.com can get you a Akebono BBK upgrade kit and a paddle shifter kit if those are of interest to anyone.

I think the sport options are of more interest to me than awd. Plus I dont want to molest it like that to make it something its not. I'm finding 2011 sports loaded with all packages closer to my price range.

Ill keep you posted on what I end up getting.

Akebono upgrade is easy, I've done some with Tunerzstore. Paddle shifters are easy as well. If I had a base vehicle I would have done both already but both of my G's are sport's.

I'll be changing the sedan out near the end of summer next year and will be getting a "X" IF I stay with an Infiniti. These cars can be a challenge in the snow without the proper tires and a X would make life a bit easier.

I weighed out the awd option for handling reasons, but in dry conditions it shifts to mostly rwd anyway. Car will be a garage queen, clueless to what snow and salt are lol

Maybe rain if i dont read the weather report right.

Yes, the vehicle is mostly rwd and only shifts to the front in case of slippage. In the rain I can roast the rear tires on the coupe while in a G37X I can launch the crap out of it. Something I think my wife would be safer in than the current sedan.
