Alright, so im working on getting the A/C working in my 90 coupe. Took the KA compressor and swapped the pulley from the CA compressor onto it. Had to order a new low side flex line, replaced the drier and expansion valve, and got the R134a retrofit fittings. Charged it up and it works. Only problem is when the compressor kicks on, the engine doesnt idle up like it should, so RPMs drop into the neighborhood of 500 and wants to die.

Now, the condenser fan isnt kicking on either, but it is getting power to it. If the fan is toast, would that keep it from idling up?

BTW, it blows around 31*F at the vent at 40mph, but warms up to 56*F sitting in traffic. I have dual 12" electric radiator fans, but like i said, the condenser fan isnt coming on and the engine isnt idling up so the compressor isnt turning as fast as it should be at idle.

Anyone have an ideas??

Your car has to be wired to activate this system. It starts with the blue/green wire that's a part of the dash plug. I forget everything else I do to make them work; I just know they all work.
