Okay so i have a 1989 240sx with the s14 ka24de motor with s13 wiring harness. I am having a problem with it starting, the engine turns over, its nothing to do with the cranking of the engine. I have the s 13 distributor so it has the coil off to the side and the coil is plugged up with all three plugs, there is a random plug/ground looking thing that is also coming from my engine harness but idk what it is. Anyway i go to start the car and it will turn over about 3 times full rotations and stop then ill crank it again and it will stop. I thought it was something to do with it not getting spark or something so i replaced spark plugs and wires. I left all 4 of the spark plugs out and put them against the car and they all sparked once i went to start the car, that was how i tested to make sure i was getting spark. Then i unplugged my coil and the car will just continue to turn over and turn over no stopping. with the coil plugged up the car will only rotate 3 or 4 times then stop. So i checked my coil and changed it for a new one and a new wire and then its the same crap happening again. i am getting fuel also, i checked my injectors and all of them are working. im not for sure if this could be something to do with the timing of my car being so far off or what. I have no clue what to do, any advice will be appreciated, Thanks.
