I finally figured out why my car won't start. What is it when you take all of your spark plugs out and each one of them have water on them. what would that mean. When I changed the oil their were no sign of water in the oil.

Do you mean fuel on the spark plugs?

yea, fuel and oil will mean totally different things. You had better hope it's fuel BTW..

It didn't really smell like fuel. If it is, what does that mean?

Well if its fuel then your chambers are probably full of fuel due to you trying to start it multiple times.

Ya it is fuel. So I checked to see if it is getting fire to all plugs, well it is, but the spark is really weak. I guess its not strong enough to ignite the gas. That gas has been sitting for a good 5 months now. Would that old gas have something to do with it?

The car should start with gas, 5 months isn't really that old, and the week spark you are getting is because you know have fouled plugs due to being soaked with gas multiple times, get yourself a good set of spark plugs and just hope your injectors aren't seize and stuck open, Ca engines are know for bad injectors if they sit for a while without starting.

Good luck,

If you crank it for few times then pull the plugs if they are soaked in fuel, chances that they are seized, how long has the engine been sitting without being started?

Last Wednesday was the very first time I cranked it over. It didn't start. The last day that it has been cranked was yesterday evening. I got some other NGK's for it today. Which ones should I go with? I got the standard BCPR6ES-11 NGK's. If they are seized, which model car can I get the injectors from?

Tested the injectors. All of them are good except #4 injector is bad. It gets spark, it gets gas, but it still doesn't want to start. When I turn the ignition to the on position, I don't hear the injectors click. Dropping resistor is good, injectors read 2.7 ohms except for #4 injector. What else can I check to see why it doesn't want to start?

just throwing this out, if your cas is messed up, it may be sparking when the gas isnt being compressed? thats what i would check next if everything else looks good

edit> and have you done a compression test yet?

No, I haven't done a compression test yet. I should have done that before I cranked it for the first time, but I didn't. I will now. I know the injectors are good, but is there anyway to test the connector that goes on the injector to see if is even getting power to the injectors. If so, how would you test them with a DMM? When you turn the key to the on position, the injectors don't click. When I tried to start it for the very first time, I didn't know about the dropping resistor. Would it have done anything to the injectors if I had cranked it about three times without the dropping resistor? I have a resistor box now.

from what i understand, the dropping resistor prevents the ecu from frying by conducting too much, you may have popped or fried something in the ecu... its something to check, wait for a second opinion before you go trying to resolder anything tho

and if you need a new one, i have a blitz tuned ecu for sale, but make sure you need it first (unless you just want it, it has all the rev limit, speed, spark, fuel cuts, and upped maps says its tuned for 'light to medium' mods)

How do know or check to see if something did happen. When I turn the ignition to the on position the red and green lights come on, then when I turn the ignition off they go off. I know your not suppose to do this but I took the cover off of the ecu and I didn't see any burned spots inside of it anywhere. I didn't touch any of the components inside the ecu. How much are you selling that ecu for?
