Of coarse DET

The NEO is the best value IMO.

Here's a little info.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rb25det

There is plenty more in the RB forum if you wish to search around

I was tossing up the RB20 and CA18. I decided on the CA because of the lighter weight and the better weight distribution it would give the car. And I can get part s for it at the local auto parts store.

I do love the sounds of the Js though

come on kori, why you gotta be rippin on me like that! when i set my mind to something it gets done. hence why i have a running rb30det lol

as far as a motor to go with i wouldnt advise the rb25 neo. Not many people have it, wiring is completely different, and the motor costs way to much. For the same price you could install a rb25det s2 with no headaches and have money left over for upgrades to get it to the HP numbers the NEO makes.

flick, the rb20 is a great motor but bottom end is a little weak. plus i can never see why people downgrade displacement in 240s from the stock 2.4.... but yeah get on that about the next nissan meet. we need to pick a day. Im game on july 25th! lol

Hey ben i started a thread check it...its in the midwest section...

and the Rb20. like i said 1000-1200 shipped plus what? 600? for the mounts and driveshaft, get the wiring done and pump, downpipe and exhaust so about 2200 later you got a runnin 6popper in the car, personally on the "cheap" side it's not a bad idea...

but 2JZ/LSX /Thread.

lol thats cool. no offense but I don't wanna have someone come help me who has to drive an hour and a half to get to my house lol. unless you want to then by all means, go for it. I'm more interested in meeting some more people that are into imports/nissans/rb motors. it's nice to have friends that know what your talking about lol. I have a hell of a time trying to tell my girlfriend about this stuff (she understands some . . . lol).

But anyway, thanks again guys for the offers.

just keep bugging her about it all.. that's how i got into cars, my ex would always point out cars and then talk about **** i didnt know.. finally it kinda just became my obsession and i probably know more about doing the actually work on the car than he does. i've done more motor swaps than him. now i actually find it weird to date someone not into cars.

Also you don't live very far from whitewater.. but i still got my tsi lol

lol not on someone else's car... i dont know much about an RB yet, so if it has anything to do with general car stuff or a DSM or a 4g63 I'll be happy to get dirty. Otherwise I'll just drink my beer and supervise.

i'll be out in the garage working on the car tonight. motor is in, a bunch of s*** has to be done yet, i made a list in the form of a paragraph...

I gotta wire it up, bolt up the trans (it is on the motor already), put the diff in, axles in, driveshaft in. I want to put power steering on it and I need to get a high pressure line and make a slide tensioner bracket for the pump. I gotta put brakes on it, and I lost all my caliper brackets so I have to buy new calipers, pads, and rotors. I got rid of my stock sway bars thinking i would put aftermarket ones on and I don't have any yet so I need sway bars. Front fenders, hood, and bumper have to go on. Rear bumper and tail lights have to go on. And the entire interior has to go back in. WOW what a list

I don't have a lot of friends who get motivated about it so i end up doing all this stuff myself lol

I spend most of my time in the garage (when it's not freezing) or with grease on my hands. I'm a pretty hand wrench when I'm needed.

I have list of mods I'd like to do to the 240 but with all the toys money is hard to come by so for now it's staying relatively stk.
