Wipers Park themselves in midswipe.

1995 B14U...for the longest time the wipers have had no memory of where to park themselves they would just stop where ever they were. Replaced the amplifier finally and now they will stop at the midswipe position or upright. Tried a different motor thinking maybe there is a hall sensor inside and it wasn't registering properly, still didn't fix it. Tried to manually push them back down but with the key still on it will just do a swipe and if the key is off they will stay there until I turn the key on then they go back up. I'm out of ideas at this point.Somebody help!!!!!!!!
