I prefer to use wiper blade inserts in my vehicles but so far I can't find inserts for the Rogue. Is anyone just buying inserts for the OEM blades? If so, where are you getting them from and your opinion of them.

I see people commenting of trouble replacing the OEM's with aftermarket and I prefer to just keep the original blades and replace the rubber if at all possilbe.

For the most part, inserts have become a prehistoric concept. I'll be very surprised if you even find any for a late model Rogue.

back on subject:
just two days ago replaced wiper blade inserts on our T33. information taken from https://www.reddit.com/r/NissanRogue/co ... 023_rogue/
76622-STK-A02 - drivers side insert from honda
76632-SWA-J02 - passenger side insert from honda
total was ~28bucks@local honda dealership

if you don't know how to disassemble those wiper blades - look at youtube (can't find the link I saved - guy did it on renault - but it was good reference).
anyway - for those honda inserts to fit best - you will need to cut a little bit of rubber off at the ends.

wife said that nissan dealerships still do that... so tempting to see for myself how they do it (may be will be able to learn trick or two)...

oh, and to disassemble and assemble it - you will need small "minus" screwdriver and some pliers (with longer and narrower noses)

p.s. good luck :D

Nobody at this Nissan dealership does it lol. Especially not with Honda parts. And considering Amazon can get you a set of China-cheap blades for $19, Rain-X Weatherbeaters for $26, or Rain-X Latitude 2's for $36, it hardly seems a bargain paying $28 for inserts which need to be modified. If that's your thing, okay, but that's way too much trouble for no gain IMHO.

Honda parts were my finding. Wife went straight to dealership.

With those inserts - those cuts are microscopic, yet recommended. First time changing those rubbers IS challenging(and makes you question your choices). Especially when it is unclear - whether to apply more force or you are doing it wrong and you will break it.

But yeah - I like to make a mess, buy few tools…

Sadly I have t found the same wipers that they use at the factory. All dealers around me have is value advantage that actually are very good. I put trico diamonds on my rogue and they’re about as close to oem as you can get with value advantage coming in 2nd.

My wife’s 24 Altima needed new blades already. Ice and winter in general just destroyed them. Napa sells trico titans (made in the USA) and around $50 a set. Unless I can find the oems, which I can’t. These will be the wipers I’ll use on all my cars going forward. We had an inch of rain the other day and these may just be the best wipers I’ve used, next to oem. They don’t look as sleek but they’re close.

No rear wiper on Alties, it's a sedan.

Vstar, can you tell if this is a value advantage # B889G-BT17E? If not, then I may have found the factory wiper blades. Nissan doesn’t make it easy at all. I go to a website and type in “wiper blades” and it brings up every component except the blades.

I can't tell you for sure if it's VA (i'm not at the shop today), but it definitely does come back as superseding the 28890-6CA1A and 28890-6CL1A that was OE on gen6 Alties. FYI, for most Nissan models, you'll find the blades and arms in the same parts drawing with the wiper motor.

Hey vstar. I ordered those wiper blades and got value advantage. They’re ok, just now genuine parts quality. I’ve searched and searched and can’t come up with a definitive part number. If you get a chance can you check at work what the actual oem wiper numbers should be? And, if they’re even available. I found the word mitsuba on the blades but can’t find those online either.

Appreciate you. It shouldn’t be that hard to buy oem wipers lol. They really are superior in looks to anything else on the market. I’m going to run trico silicones in the winter months and switch back to oem (if I can get them) during summer.

I just picked up a value advantage for the rear wiper that was damaged. What an absolute piece of garbage it is relative to the one on the car from the factory. I dont care about the blade as thats replaceable with honda parts. The frame is covered in mould marks and just looks like trash. I'm ordering one from a wrecker. Call me crazy but this is just trash. My advice is keep your oem frames. You can probably sell them on Ebay for 20 bucks.

I’m not interested in refills. The frame has springs, although small and they get weak, plus fade and look bad in a few years. I drove to the airport Sunday in driving rain and the value advantage were fine, just low quality compared to mitsuba.

Well, it turns out the OE blades are pretty much only for production. Standard procedure is to mark them discontinued from the get-go and supersede to a VA number, so in most cases they'll be unobtainium. That said, the parts guy I trust most tells me Bosch is the OEM, so maybe y'all can identify the Bosch equivalent.

I just drove from Ohio to Washington DC through the mountains, in pouring rain with a bad value advantage blade. There’s a little chunk out of the rubber. Apparently refills aren’t an option on the value line, they’re glued on a frame that can be slid or ripped out. What garbage that is. Plus I had to stop at Walmart in PA and buy blades. I saved the mitsuba blades that came off of the car and it looks like refills aren’t the way to go with those.

The Honda branded refills worked great for me on the Matsua arms.

I just installed a set of refills from Amazon, specifically made for the mitsuba blades. So far so good. The reviews were good and no cutting or fitting. I checked at the parts counter and the mitsuba blades don’t exist. There were 3 in the entire country. The value advantage look identical but you can’t refill them.
