open diff RWD sucks, unless you added one to your SX or had the SE I suppose you are used to that kind of suck, with the LSD it'm mush more predictable, just drive with common since, you will not have near as much traction in the wet, snow whatever, just think abotu worst case at each turn and you'll be fine, if you think it's be cool to hang the tail out then you are asking for trouble

I used an open diff S13 as my daily for almost three years in Chitown - you should be fine down in Columbus. I've got a friend in Indy with a 350 that runs Blizzaks from November through mid-March or so - you might not need to do that unless you're headed over towards scenic Brown County or similar twisties that don't get plowed (very well).

i had a set of dunlop winter tires on my s13 LSD (M3's?). they were better than the tires on it when i bought it, but not by a big enough margin to pick up another set... theres some model of coopers on the back of the Z right now... they seem to hook up pretty good wet, so i guess they should do alright in winter stuff... fronts do have some wear & could stand to go though.... potenzas i think

if you know brown co, you know what im worry'in about! im on highway 46 quite a bit... although, when its nice & dry, if i could pick a stretch of road to have a day for just me & the Z, that might be the one

Yeah, I lived in B'town for a little over 10 years so I've spent plenty of time on 46, both in cars and on bikes (think Cannondale - not Harley).

If you do try to look for it used, you will find yourself a better deal.
