Hello all i am new to posting on nicoclub. I mostly just sit back and try to soak up all the info I can. I decided to break the ice by introducing my winter build for this year. No pictures of it yet as it is not yet under way. I mostly would like to see some of you opinions on what I will be doing. I am no stranger to Nissan my first build every was on a VG, I had a Z32 laying around with a popped engine and decided hey lets do a twin turbo swap. Ever since then I have loved my Nissan's anyways.

My build is going to be in my AE86 not a 240sx of course i wanted something lighter than my Z and was going to go with an s13 with a CA in it. Well i stumbled on a redneck here in South Dakota where i lived that was sitting on a AE86 that he commuted in daily and picked it up dirt cheep. So hence I have my chassis now. Then i stated looking at all my engine options from Toyota and many are awesome setups but I just don't like the 4age 20v or 16v. So I went back to my roots with Nissan and my original idea with a CA.

Plans are going with the engine-CA18DET, ECU-Nistune setup, Gauge cluster looking either at the Defi or the Stack cluster. Striped interior and a Kazz or Tomei diff. During this winter I will keep the build process up to date with the pictures. Will be some fab work involved not to scared you can build the space shuttle with a welder and a cutoff wheel right. again this is just an over view and will be more indepth later on keep an eye on it if you would like if not piss off lol.

Couple pics of my Z build

Little rebuilding of the lifters went on.

Anyways Here I am Elliott is my name.

Hi Elliot and let me be the first to say welcome to the CA forums. You appear to have the desire and the courageousness to take on your own tasks, so picking-up on the information needed to get you where you want to be with your project should be simple enough. Again, welcome to the CA family and hope you take your project to the level that best suits your goals. The CA is a wonderful platform and can be used in extracting big power and performance. We're here to help in most cases, but finding the infor you seek shouldn't be so hard either. Good luck and build it "bad-@ss" .

Sweet project. I have the same project going on right now. It is going a little slow waiting for the motor to come in and trying to get everything together. Trying to get people to live up to what they say is the biggest draw back right now.

Here is my shell that my CA18DET is going in. I am just going for stock power right now.
