Recently traded my VW bus for a pretty sweet 1975 620 which only has a couple of issues...the windshield washer does not work at all and the heater began to leak into the passenger side floor...anyone got troubleshooting Ideas? I'd like to post a pic, but don't see how...

The Leak sounds as if its most likely just a bad heater core, and will need to be replaced. Could be as simple as a hose to tighten up though.

The washer could be a couple things, either electrical malfunction or just a tired out pump for the fluid.

I had the same issue with mine all I had to do is pull the pump apart and clean it the impeller gets gumed up.
