If you have a 1985 Z Turbo with the electric shocks, they are SHOT, trust me after 24 years they history. Most of them folks with those had them go out 15 years ago. You can either pay a s@#$ load of money and rebuild those or buy a set of Tokiko Illumima with the retro fit kit to dismantle that out. Trust me if your still on original shocks, they are toast. What your hearing is the shocks system dying You may be last 85' Turbo left on those original systems in the world, they were really only good for 60k or 7 years and they died.
So buzzing noises, there are a few things that will buzz. The rear is the fuel pump or the antenna, those are the only thing it can be, period. the pump can be loud for years before it fails. Inside the car there are two fans that are part of the automatic A/C package. once is down below and the other up top by the map lights. I have replaced that one next to the map lights 2-3 times in 25 years of ownership. It is a little fan motor and can get clogged up with dust and eventually burns out.
Under the hood vacuum leaks are the #1.
