Well mostly. I put a turbo blanket on and now the engine will sometimes go up to 220 if I boost it a lot, but then it start come back down and stay in the 190-200 range. Before it would go to 220 and stay there no matter what I did.

The turbo blanket was smoking when I stopped, but I assume this is just it breaking in since it's brand new. I'm sure my cooling issues will be gone once I heat wrap the exhaust headers and install my oil cooler.

Thanks to everyone who helped.

Entirely possible. There was a lot of rust in the block. I did a chemical flush, though.

But I think the real reason is that there is no airflow in my engine bay because they didn't think about stuff like that back in 1962.

Here's some pictures.

Super clean MG, especially being that old, did you do a restore on it or is most of that original, cuz if its original that is insanely nice, but either way it looks like it is in great shape

Glad you guys like it. To answer your question, almost every part of the car has been either cleaned and repainted or replaced. It looked like **** when I got it and had been sitting for 23 years in my dad's garage. I don't even want to think of how many thousands of hours I've put into it, but it's been fun and it's a blast to drive.

Here's what it used to look like.

Strangely enough the dash was okay.
