Ummm, no.

An open exhaust on a 1.8 liter will sound like a$$.

This is a simple modification that anyone can do. We've sold over 500 Nissan systems, so we're pretty good at this stuff.

There's a guy in my neighborhood who just ordered the BRM system for his Versa, we're putting it on next week. He's wanting to autocross it.

I got mine the other day and I am super excited to get it installed next week (have headers being installed as well). Greg was awesome and from point of order to delivery it was way under the 8 day timeframe. Pics coming in the next week. Thanks Greg!

Dual pipes can be done, but it'd be easier to go custom route rather than trying to fit something from another vehicle. If you just want the tail sections, cut them off and fabricate the center pieces to make it all work.

Dual pipes on a 1.8 N/A motor? No need.

Sorry, we're not going to build something that's JUST for show with no purpose.

AZhitman if you guys do decide to make one consider making one for the sedan as well. I think you would be the first to offer it so no competition there...

I'll even drive up to Phoenix for it only like 2 hours away.

wow since I got the exhaust from Greg I have literally moved all over the country. IN any case the idiots who installed it originally screwed it up and failed to install the back clamp on my exhaust properly so it rattled all over the place. They tried to tell me it was the way the exhaust was built and we had a nice arguement over that.

I finally took it to a Nissan dealer and they fixed the issue no problem (stating it was a great exhaust system and the previous installers screwed up by not taking the time to do the job the right way).

So if any of you out there are thinking of getting this system do it. It sounds great and I have been really happy with it (everyone who sees it Greg says its a great system and was done really well).

Thanks folks! On to the next part of this project.

Nice work Greg! Just looking at the pics shows the amount of detail and craftsmanship you have into these.

Thanks guys!

I'd love to see more of them out there on Versas... We've kept the price as low as we can get it without cutting corners.

It's just a matter of time before some Taiwanese company starts knocking these off and selling them in cheap polished steel for $100 less on ebay. :(

Hi William - I'm not familiar with their system, as it's not one we've cut apart to inspect. I'm sure it's a good setup, although I'd like to see the muffler internals... a lot of companies use cheap Chinese mufflers and the internal construction corrodes and breaks down over time. We've had great results with Magnaflow components for over 8 years.

Thanks!

Has anyone with this system did a check on the fuel economy before and after installation. I would like the power gain but i am more leaning toward better fuel economy. I know the versa gets good gas millage but if i can get a gallon or two here and there it would be awesome.

Thanks
William

Hi William -

Anytime you increase flow, you increase fuel economy. Most companies won't publish a hard number, because it varies so much. However, you can definitely expect additional fuel economy.

Hi ppl! I'm new to the forum and I have a 2010 Nissan Versa. I have several questions...first, Do you ship toPuerto Rico? and my versa is CVT will this affect in anything my mileage or sumthin? I know catbacks are usually for manual transmissions but I'd like to trick out a little my V and a little more sound and performance is good for me!
You can chek out and rate my V at cardomain! you'll see this mod will be great for her!

Yes, we ship to PR, and as I said above, anytime you free up hp, you increase mileage. :)

What kind of sound difference is there with the resonator? I checked out ATX_Versa's clip but it doesn't say whether there is a resonator.

I'm interested but don't want to add too much noise (if any). ppl in my area seem to want to race all the time when they hear exhaust and I'm just in it for the performance.

Huge difference.

Sound clips don't really mean much, since the microphone sucks, the speaker sucks, and car exhaust simply doesn't record well.

You definitely want a resonator. We've sold almost 1,100 exhausts, and I've never had a resonated system returned because it was "too loud".

Is there a big sound difference between the stock exhaust and the catback with resonator?

A couple of n00b questions too: will this void the drive train warranty (other than the exhaust going back from the cat)? And do you know whether this is legal in California (I assume it is, since nothing is happening to the cat itself)

Hey V -

Yes. The stock exhaust sounds like something that gets beat up on the playground. :)

No effect on warranty.

There's nothing about our exhaust that violates any California laws, to my knowledge. It's not CARB-Certified, but neither are 99% of the products sold in CA. :)

I just got this installed. Holy cow.

AZhitman hit me up quick and shipped a day after payment was sent. The longest part of this was waiting for ground delivery from FL to CA.

The pipes fit the car perfectly.

There was a bit of an issue connecting to the cat but this may be something to do with the '11 hatch or the garage that installed it. Either way it's not a big deal and AZhitman is on top of it.

It sounds gorgeous. A deep baritone rumble. Makes me happy that Nissan didn't skimp on 1751ccs and went with 1798.
