Although I bought I new daily driver two years ago I may still have the highest mileage 230,000 miles and counting.
I've been driving my machine like it's a rental and I'm late for a meeting since 2007 and I haven't had any major issues.
Replaced the radiator, a sensor or two and a thermostat. Hell I put it's 1st set of new shocks on her a month ago. I did replace the tranny at 184k but low and behold the last tranny flush at 80,000 miles, they shorted me 3 quarts and it wasn't even the right spec fluid. So I'm impressed it lasted as long as it did. Each day I drive it she sees 100+ mph. OEM starter, OEM alternator. I should do a commercial!
Do I still have the highest mileage award?
277,000 currently on the odometer. My 06 M35 is not my daily driver and usually is not in use for long periods of time. However I just took it for a drive for the first time in 6 months
and I must say, it was an enjoyable ride. Even did a few donuts for fun.
The wife asked me to sell it and my official answer to her was "it's worth more being available to us as a third car then the resale value". But truly I don't want to sell this reliable, well kept car that I owned for 13 years to someone that just going to not maintenance it and destroy it.
I have to decide soon because it's time to buy a new car.
