Yup I just picked up an integra just for work and is lightly modded. I got it 2 weeks ago and ive been driving it more than the Z. I probably only drove the Z once since I bought the integra and the Z has been sitting in the front of my house. I was happy that I wasn't putting miles on the Z because it is kind of high already. 75,000 miles for a 2003 but I was concerned because it is always hot and sunny here in Socal. Does the sun mess up the paint if the car is always in the sun? Also how do you guys maintain your 2 cars? Also do you guys store your Z in the garage? I would love to put my Z in the garage but theres no room because alot of my family's stuff is in the garage. I just don't want my Z's paint to mess up due to the sun.

I too have another means of transportation, although the z is more gas efficient than the truck. The bike is just back breaking on a 1 hour commute.Car cover works really good. You can order one from costco for under $200 and its custom fitted to the z. Sun will eventually take its toll on the paint, however you can protect your paint with good quality wax.

I just bough a new XTERRA last week so I can tow my Z to the race track. It's my daily driver as well. Ohhhh... I bought the wife a Mazdaspeed 3 last year. I drive it as well and it's a great car.

Besides a 08 roadster I own an Opel Vectra C, slightly tuned with Irmscher parts. I drive it whenever it rains and during winter/snow months to keep the Z in the best possible shape... plus, it's a ***** driving with rear-wheel-drive on ice.

Yeah I also have a daily commuter car. A '89 240SX. I usually leave the Z at home, I don't have a garage, so I just bought a car cover for her.

If you buy a car cover for the Z, make sure you wash and wax before you throw it on. The last thing you want is your paint all scratched up from the dirt and Cover rubbbing on it.

With the cover you'll protect both your paint and your dash. It's a great $200 investment!

Plus you can go buy a great quality from COSTCO or where I buy them which is Motorsport Auto in Orange. They're custom fitted too.

I got 3 others besides the Z. My belief is if you have more than one car, make them unique from the others. Each one of mine serves a specific job.

My wife drives the 4 door Altima(traditonal family car) . My DD is a Toyota 4 Runner, which we also take on road trips and for hauling "stuff". And I have a modded GMC Sierra race car hauler, nicknamed "the beast", to take the Z to/from the track. The Z is strictly for fun. I guess I'm a purist too, only the Altima has an automatic transmission.

This is actually the first time since i was 19 that i have only had one car!... Currently the 350Z is my only car after selling my Mustang GT in July. I will have something before the winter though... Probably gonna buy this sentra on craigslist if the guy ever gets back to me.... As far as car covers, i bought one at advance auto for like $60 that fit good, it was for compact cars and comes with draw strings so you can tie it down to the car. Definitely wash & wax before the cover goes on. There is plenty of covers that are just as good as the custom fit ones, i wouldn't waste the money, you'll be the only one to know, unless you get one with the "Z" emblem on it.

Yeah as far as covers they threw that nice one in for me when I bought the car. It has that Z emblem on it. Funny thing is I have a closed in garage and have no need for it. Nevertheless this is my only car and I would have it no other way. Why buy it if you cant drive it.

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee for the winter and for when it rains. The CBR is for the track and the Z is for fun.

lol i just pity my z since i bought a load of mileage when i bought her at 55,000. i put 20,000 in like 8 months and it really made the value go down. That's why i bought an integra with only liability coverage for commute to work/places. Z is rarely driven now. I will be driving her friday though for a date lol.

P.S. good wax? Does the spray on waxes count?

Well I am fortunate I can work from home and the place wear I conduct meetings is less than a mile away. So my milage is all fun after that . If I had to travel more like I used to I would have kept my Acura TL to put milage on and still have a luxury ride to work.

I use maguiar's gold class liquid wax. It has carnuba, which is suppose to help protect from uv, and oxidizing elements. I believe it comes in a spray bottle as well. Zymol is another good brand that i have used. More expensive than maguiar's, but results are identical. I've also heard about zaino being pretty good but very expensive. I have never used it though.

Go to the zeroforum?id=267 "Detail Forum" they have cool tips and tricks on cleaning the Z. I posted what I use in there. Good little forum for car washing buffs.

I do agree, a car cover would be a good investment, mine is always on when im not using my Z.

I also have a 93 240sx, (its a HUGE money pit! and an even bigger pain in the ***) and an 02 honda cbr 600

the bike is nice cuz you dont have to worry about parking and it gits great millage. Only thing is, i feel bad holding the bike at 6000 to 7000 rpm's on my 15 min daily commute.

okay i don't have a z but my cousin jus bought one a week ago. he also has an 03 protege, 08 audi a4, and a 4 runner. well the 4 runner is his fathers lol. but when he goes to work he either takes the protege or a4. but most of the time he's in his z. only reason why he doesn't take it to work is because theres a gravel road on the way there.

yup its a s13 red top. its got a ton of of other work done to it too. just some of the stuff it has done, energy suspension bushing kit, kts coils, hicas rack. the motor itself is stock, has a fmic, blitz active clutch(single plate), megan dump and down pipe, and a blitz nur spec exhaust, ive got a 5 lug for it, im sure im forgetting ton of other stuff. thats kinda what makes it hard as to what i wana keep.

i had the edge juice with attitude and loved it. i actually got better mileage without it, but towing was a breeze. i get 18-22mpg round town and up to 30mpg on the highway with towing. i just wish they came with allison transmissions. just drove cross country with it towing about 9klbs and got 18mpg when i wasnt in the hills.

yeah, that's a good programmer. and allisons aren't all their really cracked up to be. if you're looking for around 100hp+ over stock you've gotta get them built. learned that from someone who learned the hard way. how bout some pics, i'll post some of the dirtymax here in a bit...
