i went by napa and picked up two rod bearings part # cb-1590p for 88 pulsar NX SE, but they are tooooo small. Maybe he gave me the wrong ones but what are you guys doing for rod bearings??

those should be the right ones. I used pulsar bearings from an 88 NX SE and they fit fine. Make sure you get STD sizes unless you've turned the crank.

Sometimes an autopart place like NAPA will give you the wrong part especially when there's actually 4 different engines for KN13 pulsars. Just because you told them SE, they still don't have a clue unless you bring them a sample bearing so that they can match there's with what you brought them.
