Hi SZH:

I've contacted you before and thank you for the excellent advice.

I'm thinking about installing an injen SP1991P cold air intake in my 2007 M35X and was wondering is you could give me some advice. First of all what do you think of this system and is worth installing as far as extra HP and torque? Is this something that the average person can install and do you really have to remove the bumper and wheel well cover? Do you recommend that I get the help of my mechanic? I would really like to install this on my own :). Finally, will installing this system with a dry filter in any way affect what the computer is reading and give me any "check engine" lights?

Thank you very much.

Ted,

i know i am not the one the question was directed toward but i must tell you the injen SP1991 CAI is really easy to install...removal of the inner wheel liner is the prefered method of instalation , but i did it with out the removal of said liner...i did have the help of a friend so having someone there to help is indeed a plus...

Hey Everyone,

Somewhat new here and to owning an Infiniti M35 Had my car for only 6 months now. Didn't like the Chrome Wheels so needed to upgrade. The chrome wheels are for sale if anyone is interested. Just recently did the whole front end change on the car. Looks way better now. Much more upgrades to come.

It was an Infiniti one owner lease turn in and still looks like it rolled off the show room floor. The dealer only had it for three days before I purchased it. Definitely got luckY with this one!

hello everyone
i just purchased a 03 m45 just last week (cant post pic cause i'm at work and photobucket is blocked :tisk: ).
so if ur wondering she is bone stock, pearl white, no navi system.
i'll try to post up a pic later on tonight.
i found this site as i was looking up headlights for the car. damn they are expensive! (compared to my accord)
anyway i have a few questions but i will refrain from asking (for now) and continue to use the search button. i'm sure someone has asked/answered my questions.

Just bought a 2011 M37S about 3 months ago with 18K miles, liquid platinum exterior with graphite interior. Had the ECM/TCM update, bluetooth/nav update, and replaced the steering wheel switches because they were peeling, all under warranty. Very, very happy so far.

New to the site. Purchased a 2012 M37 sport in Feb 2012. Prior to the purchase, I did some basic research to decide on which car I wanted. In order of rank based on the car that I was interested in was:

1. Audi
2. Infiniti
3. Lexus

The day I bought this car, I was on my way to the Audi Dealership to test drive and likely purchase their A6. I decided to drop by the Infiniti dealership first to test drive a few of their models and fell in love with the M37sport. My only regret was not test driving the A6 :nono: Who knows what might have happened. I didn't particularly like the recent road test by Motor Trend, comparing the Lexus GS 350 F Sport, Infiniti M37S, Audi A6 3.0T, and the BMW 535i where Infiniti M37S place dead last :frown: In the end, I am still happy with my purchase and love driving my M37

I've tinted the windows, but want to do more. Thinking about modifying accent lighting inside and/or headlights.
Suggestions? I'm a tech guy so I can handle modding. Don't know so much about performance mods however...

2007 M35 Black Obsidian with everything - tech pkge, luxury pkge, journey pcke, NAV, lane change warning, adaptive cruise, 14-speaker bose surround, bourbon leather (also called 'peanut butter' leather), DVD player, Michelin Sport A/S Plus 245/45/18 with factory chrome 8-spoke wheels, I added Phillips 8-LED DRLs, upgraded to latest NAV disc, switched all lights to LED except rear turn signals (tried 3 types up to 127 SMD but not bright enough in daylight).
Bought it used a year ago - now has 70k miles. No repairs yet and every dealer inspection (with my oil changes) comes back 'green' on all items.

A 2003 M45 black with tan interior (non-navi) that basically just fell into my lap last fall when my sister and her family moved to HK on short notice.

I'd never paid any attention to it and even found out it had been just sitting at their house for months since it wouldn't pass emissions and two shops couldn't figure it out. (???) I guess they were asking way too much for it coz of that, so... When I got it home I ran the codes and found out the gas gauge and SRS were posting a codes and the dealer performed the recalls.

Hey Guys!

I cannot tell you how happy I am to be back in the Infiniti family!

My love affair with Infiniti started in February of 2011 when I purchased a 2006 M45 with Premium Package. What a fabulous car! I did a few mods: Brakemotive brake kit, H-Techs, KYB's, USA-Spec PA15-INFI Interface w/ BT streaming, Kuda custom cell mount, and Magnaflow exhaust. I enjoyed the car immensely, but it was getting up there in miles, and was losing value quickly.

In July of 2012, I happened across a phenominal deal on a 2012 Hyundai (I know... ) Genesis 5.0. Not a bad car, and the deal was right; but it was certainly NOT an Infiniti. It had gobs of power, but handling left a lot to be desired, the quality of materials and attention to detail was not up to the standards I had come to appreciate in the M45. The whole time I owned it, I found myself comparing it to the M45.

Once again, I happened across a deal; a 2012 Infiniti M56S in Harbour Blue, with 13,XXX miles and the Factory Aero kit. I was in love. Man, what a car! I could tell "this was it" within the first mile of driving it. Power is there, handling is tight and crisp, and the electronics are top-notch. It is one of those cars (not unlike the M45) that "just feels right".

Thanks for viewing, and again; I am so happy to be back in the family!

Sorry on my lameness in replying. There's no backseat entertainment. :-( My daughters remind me of this EVERY time they ride along...

I've bandaided with iPads for both of them ;-)
